    I never got asked..........they just started delivering the compact directories. I did get a VIP slot.

    Clearly theres no one way to get a slot, nexts loss as im now in the process of paying my account off to close.

    Is anyone else going insane trying to deal with Next? The insisted I paid in advance then didn't send out the promised item and still haven't despite again making a promise it would arrive today. I did my returns and they haven't credited me as they say the things are showing as unknown items so they can't put them back on my account (glad I keep receipts). Another promise that my account would be sorted out by today and it's not. My bill will be horrendous when it comes this week as all the returns will be on it. They said make the payment so I don't have to pay the charge for a missed one and they'll deal with the interest later. I've spoken to loads of people and had an apology from a manager for treating me like someone dodgy making me pay for electrical items before they send them out. I can't even throw my toys out the pram and close the account (I'd use Mr shoe's instead) because I owe them for stuff I've sent back and half my order won't be here for weeks yet.

    Yep i'm getting a bit frustrated with Next have been billed for items that have not been dispatched. Waiting on a delivery date for my '2 man' delivery item - a bean bag!!! I've been billed for it and they say there is no information on their system as to when it will be delivered. I have triend to cancel the item but they said I can't as its gone 2 far down the line - i rung last week!!!

    They've now said they don't actually have my item and to give it 5 more days despite the account saying it's packed and ready to be sent.

    I hope you get things sorted out quick smart Shoe*gal.

    A great many of us have shopped with Next for years and have seen the quality slide, obviously as costs etc., go up fabrications change to give the customer items in the same price bracket...BUT for me one of the major reasons I stuck by Next was the customer service. It's disheartening and disconcerting to see more and more people having problems with CS. I hope they pull their finger out and get it back on track.

    I had a VIP slot and ordered various t-shirts and shorts in age 7 for my average-sized 6.5yr old, ready for our holiday in Feb, when she'll have just turned 7. Every one of them is too small! They're a nice fit on her little sister who just turned 5 though! What has happened to Next sizes? Kidswear always used to be quite generously sized?!

    Age 7 is age 6-7 - they've changed the labelling so easy to get caught out
