You certainly get ripped off at airport prices for water and refreshments. The airport shops must be doing a roaring trade in a captive market. It's also taken the value out of travelling on a budget airline as it's impossible to bring your own drinks and food on board.
But I guess someone somewhere has decided that 100ml of explosive liquid is about the limit before greater damage is caused. The man without a signature.0 -

Yup the cynic in me agrees:mad:
Just back from New York, and fortunately they were generous with thhe free drinks/water on the plane but for a budget "bring your own" flight it'll be a pain.
2 points of interest- booze at the duty free is still often glass bottles- what is the point of stopping you taking nail scissors if you can buy a nice glass bottle to make weapon out of and ripoffsville at Gatwick was a direct contrast to the pleasant shops at newark airport where they guarentee that prices are the same as "the local mall" and they were too- starbucks/muffin shops etc were just as cheap as in manhattan- regular coffee for $1 (and "regular" was a starbucks grande size too!) and the gift shops were the same price too- If we'd have known we would have bought tshirts and suvenir tote bags there and not worried about the cases re weight!0 -
As I discovered earlier this week, shoe polish is considered to be a liquid/gel. However, I managed to smuggle quite a lot through smeared on my shiny shoes, but the tin had to go in the plastic bag with my toothpaste.0

Airspray is also considered a liquid (I know, logic, if you think about it, but I didn't
) Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -
just a word of warning with these "restrictions" is that so far each airport OH has flown from/in to has had different ways of enforcing these laws...so check you need to dump your water etc before you do...not all of them mind!!0

Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
