Yes, I reckon the rice will be too hard now - I'll have to go to Asda on my lunch and get one of those £1 microwave bags of rice - so not a NDS today, but a low spend day anyhow.0 -

I'm not sure if you can freeze rice.
Sorry, not too many ideas for you!
Thanks - no curry on hand unfortunately but I did turn it into egg fried rice with broccoli and red peppers mixed in - heated up at work and dressed with some soy sauce, with some tinned tuna.
Final portion of rice left for dinner tomorrow with some beef stroganoff.
Now pondering lunch tomorrow - have some oatcakes in the cupboard so might have those with some cream cheese and salad.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Having haddock steam with brocolli and potatoes tonight for dinner - I can make double but not entirely sure it'll keep well for lunch tomorrow. Failing that I have sandwich stuff at work so won't spend at all tomorrow on lunch.0

well no chicken today as I didn't defrost or cook any yesterday.
I'm going to treat myself to a Subway though today as it is both payday and my birthday - and one treat won't hurt before I go on annual leave in a coupe of weeks for 8 days (12 if you include the weekends!)************************************

This thread is fantastic! I don't know why I haven't noticed this before, this is right up my street. I normally have leftovers for dinner but incase I forget them I have these: http://m.tesco.com/mt/www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=270964632 (got 30 of them when they were £1 in ASDA)
Or these: http://m.tesco.com/mt/www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=uncle+bens+rice&N=4294963364&=
But if not I go to the salad bar in Morrisons

Morning all
This week I have chick pea and feta cheese salad to bring to work, making fresh every night. Chick peas are 4 tins for £1 in the bigger T3scos at the moment.0 -
Hello everyone!
Noodles for lunch yesterday and left over spag bol today!
Tomorrow will be chile and pitta bread and Thursday will be...well I'm not sure yet! Some strange mix at the rate I'm going - keep having some pretty random choices!************************************

Well, remarkably I managed 20 LTW days this month and that's with 3 days where I slipped of the track a little bit. Just goes to show what a long month July has been!
I'm a walking dental nightmare at the moment. I had to have a root canal done monday and am still a little tender so I picked up a fresh loaf from the supermarket last night and cut off a chunk to dunk into soup for todays lunch. Actually feeling motivated again now I've recovered from the month of hell. I discovered own brand fromage frais tubes in the supermarket this week, a lot dearer than the mousses I was having, at £1 for 6 instead of 18p for 4, but they're half the calorie and sugar content so it's worth it. The dentist has also referred me for a wisdom tooth extraction so I guess that will have an impact on my LTW efforts whenever that comes through! :rotfl:
Do we have a thread yet for August? I already know I'm going to be down on LTW days as I've got a week off the week after next, it's very much needed though, and being self-catering accommodation it's not too bad.£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000
