Dropped DD off at morries; was going to be a mere drop off as I planned to shop later, when it's quieter. BUT they had a gazebo outside doing a Love Food Hate Waste promo. I now have a new bag clip, 2 new (different) pens, a wad of recipes for using up leftovers, two spaghetti measures (one for each Vallikid; for uni;))
two rice measuring scoops (1 scoop = 1 portion; as again one for each kid) and the piece de resistance - a MAGNETIC DRY WIPE MEAL PLANNER

Thank you everyone for your posi-vibes and good wishes

DD2 appointment decluttered, goodnews/badnews.....one of her tonsils is very very enlarged and bloody looking (probably because of all the coughing of muck),the white patches are the bad news, she IS pre-cancerous so her treatment for now is "no smoking"....but tough love the Consultant told her "you smoke, you die, it WILL get you we can't stop it"

In the meantime , it is more important that she attends 6 monthly checks with the Dentist who will monitor for any changes.....and if she gets concerned for any reason the GP can fax again and as they are keeping an open file for her she will be seen within 2 weeks.

So really it was the best outcome we could hope for..had a meal out as neither one of us could eat since yesterday....my body aches all over with adrenaline.

I will need to get on and fly later as I have got an old friend coming over

    Thanks again everyone
The cold never bothered me anyway

Hi there. Good news, Skint, that there is no urgency for treatment, and let's hope that your DD stays strong with her no-smoking and that treatment is never needed. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her.

Good health vibes all round - my lovely brother is slightly improved, so that's a positive thing - so I'll pass posi-health wishes around.

I've had a quick read back but am so dashed I can't remember who's who! (Yours was the last post, Skint, so I remember that one!). Old age and poverty, as my aunt used to say when she couldn't recall things!!!

Not stopped today, OH to docs first thing, I cleaned and shopped for sick friend, then we've cleaned all through each room, changed the bedding, and tidied garden, done 2 x WM and sorted paperwork, as we leave for France at 7.15 am tomorrow! We are now going to pack and get an early meal, get DW on and then sort out cat food etc for cat sitter, then get an early night. I am pooped now!!

Good wishes to all, I am sorry I don't have time now to read back again, and you lucky flyladies who enjoy the tennis, have a fab viewing time! (Come on Tim!!). Did anyone enjoy the Men's 'Veterans' Doubles the other night with the four 'Macs'? I thought it was magical - the two winning Macs (McEnroe's) are on right now.

'See' you on Tuesday, R x

PS Sorry for the poor cat that was killed. Anyone who reads my posts will know I love cats. It sounds like it was a quick death, which is a tiny consolation. Hugs. x

Aww skint, must be a bit of a relief. And maybe the scare will keep her off the ciggies x

Collected my friends DD and deposited elsewhere, had visit from Dad, who's asked me to check on the house on Monday pm. His step daughter is following them abroad (they go tomorrow, she on Monday) but she's a booger for leaving things switched on (lights, taps, hair straighteners ) so I've to go switch off once she's left for the airport ;)

So kiddies had tea then we went out in the garden. Did lots of weeding (disturbed an ants nest ), cut the grass, swept the path and treated some of the weedies between the flags.

Checked over DS swimmies for hols, and shorts he has plenty but could do with a couple of nice little shirts. Will see if MIL has any in her stash ;) she usually has some car boot or charity shop goods tucked away...

Then got littlies sorted for bed. Heard DS shouting me lol DD had sneaked into his bed, put the lamp on and started "reading" him a story :rotfl:

And that's me done. I'm bushed. Haven't eaten a lot today which can make you feel a bit lazy too...

Tomorrow we need to pick up all these toys, then will get them over to inlaws - who have missed them loads whilst on hol - with hats and specs and suncream, supposed to be a hot one this weekend. And I'm going out tomorrow night! Get me and my social life! Out for Sunday lunch too this weekend! Don't mind if I do...

Evening! Thought I'd better pop in as I'm not sure where this week has gone.

We had sad news on Monday as we lost a little boy at school at the weekend :( thoughts and prayers for his family and staff would be much appreciated.

Yesterday I was on a Child Protection course all day - brilliant but so intense I swear it was more tiring than being in class all day.

And then today has been Sports Day ....... all day!!

Thankfully, tomorrow is looking like a 'normal' day - until I go to see Bon Jovi and Kaiser Chiefs in the evening :j

I have been keeping up with the dailies and doing more sorting alongside writing reports and other end-of-term stuff.

Will update a list in a bit.

Skint - glad the news was positive; hugs x

CY (I think!) - Doro do simple mobiles with larger key pads etc. Might be worth a look

Hugs for all others who need one xx
