Didn't manage much flying yesterday and off for my first day of therapy today so I'll be kn***ered this evening. Then out to an AA meeting. Same tomorrow except it's a 'Venetian Masked Ball'. I think flying may get postponed until the weekend, but I'll try and do a little every day.

Morning all, sorry for the late list, too tired last night.
Today I shall be flying with you all, after I've taken DS3 for a new orthotics fitting.
Skinty thinking of you and DD todayThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
There was a burglary around the corner from here the other night, wondered what the police were doing in the street on Tuesday. They got in through an open downstairs window - with the hot weather ladies please take care. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Morning all x
I'm awake sort of courtesy of the dogs licking my face and generally making it known that they want out!
After I've decluttered this coffee I will start with this LR it looks like a tornado hit.

I'm a bit neurotic.. I can't leave the bedroom window open at night.. I have a bay window below it and someone might get in! My friend had her front window prised open and her handbag stolen day before yesterday! Must be the time of year for them to be letting the scumbags out of prison again! I think they need a greater deterrent!
I'm up.. full of snot.. I loathe hayfever!!!
It is a lovely sunny day here so I'll get the baby bits washed I think.. which requires OH to build at least 1 of the chests of drawers! that'll be 2 boxes out of my hallway that have been there 3 weeks!
I have a new mattress on its way for the basket.. I might feel vaguely organised then.
First though.. beastlings dressed and stuffed in the garden and myself fed and watered.. Oh.. DD1 is coming today too.. so OH can also vacuum the middle room because I'm generous like that!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Skinty - thinking of you and DD today.
Still can't get hold of mum - will leave it until this afternoon and then ring the PO again..... I really have had enough of this.
Mum is a technophobe and has never grasped mobile phones - does anyone have any personal experience of mobiles suitable for the elderly?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

OH's mum has just been looking at phones, she is a fair bit younger than your mum at 67ish.. but is of the mindset she can't do it without even trying too.. that attitude does irritate me massively!.. She was looking at one which was just not suitable so she was pointed in the direction of a few.
The touch screen ones seem to be better than the button ones.. unless they have Reynauds in which case they need a stylus... a la my mother!
She wanted a decent camera
We looked at the Samsung Galaxy Ace.. it is fairly small and has a decent camera.. 2 of my sproggits have these and they've been ok.. though I'm not a fan of Samsung phones.. £7.50 contract with Tesco.
One of the things I did suggest was a voice dialling, so they say why they want to ring and it calls them.. it seemed like a very useful thing if they have a fall or lose their glasses! It seems like a really good idea for older people.
I think now, if they can use a cordless phone they can use a mobile.. my 2 year old can effectively unlock and use OH's (she doesn't get to touch mine I have a little sense!) .. they are so simple compared to the faff they used to be.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
That's a very persuasive argument Pigpen - 'if they can use a cordless phone they can use a mobile.':T

Still sitting here I fear I may be in need of some fluffy mules. I think getting DD up and getting her ready should speed me up, once she opens her eyes her jibber jabber starts and never stops so it may get my brain in gear.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0
