Pigpen, your post made me :rotfl: although I'm sure it's not as amusing for you... Hope you have a better afternoon and Dot's managed to wear herself out with this morning's antics.
So sorry to hear about your Mum's cat Mummyof5. I hope your Mum's okay and the poor kitty didn't suffer, it must have been such a shock
Hope your Mum's okay CY and has just knocked the phone off the hook or something equally innocuous.
Cat, thinking of you and sending you lots of positive thoughts. A relative did something similar a couple of years ago, and the court were impressed that she'd taken the positive step of seeking treatment and no longer had access to a vehicle - hopefully things will go the same way for you; you clearly regret what happened and wouldn't do it again :grouphug:
Afm, I'm continuing to be as lazy as possible and have had a ridiculously slow start to the week. Had a delivery from Mr T yesterday and I swear the pickers / delivery people are even more useless than usual - there were several substitutions, all of which were unsuitable, and when I handed them back to the driver he looked at me like I'd asked him to run a marathon then said "I'll try to get it sorted today", shrugged and walked offThink I'm going to have to change supermarket as there seems to be an issue with every order atm.
Am determined to get the lounge, kitchen and hall finished today (they're still not too bad from last week) so I can concentrate on the bedrooms for the rest of the week... have just discovered we're having visitors (again!) at the weekend  Need to sort out the antenatal classes as well - DH has decided that he desperately wants to go to NCT ones so I have those to arrange and pay for, then several weeks of boredom and suppressed eye-rolling. He is currently being ridiculous about the whole giving-birth thing though so maybe they'll be able to talk some sense into him. Currently the conversation goes like this:
Me: I'd quite like a home birth.
DH: *look of horror* No.
Me: Obviously only if there were no complications, in which case it's as safe as being in hospital (we live 5 minutes away from the maternity hospital and NNU). We could just about fit a pool in the lounge.
DH: It's gross, and messy, and what if you died? The only good thing about having him (he's convinced baby is a 'him', despite us not knowing, and all signs pointing to a girl) at home is that I could watch Sky while we wait, but there's no room for the sofa AND a pool!
Me: *roll eyes* How about a water birth at the hospital?
DH: Hmmm, maybe.
Me: Would you get in the pool with me? Would you rub my back?
DH: *look of complete disgust* In the water? Eugh. No. I'll be there at the beginning.
Me: At the beginning of what? Labour? You're not even going to be there for the actual birth?
DH: I don't know, it's scary.
Me: I'm getting a doula :rotfl:
Honestly, he has no idea.

Just about to collect myself and get a little done from Mondays list
. Our shifts have changed at work and I now have to leave home at 6.30 and I'm find it a little tricky to fit anything (including an evening meal) in. With practice, it will come together though.
Sorry to those who've had grotty days. Roads are always such a worry with cats aren't they.

Hmm - well I think mum is okay - my sister contacted her 'daily' last night who agreed to pop round this morning.
My sister then left the country!
Texting my sis today I asked if said 'daily' would be contacting her and she said 'I don't know if she has my number!'
cue headdesk moment!
Sis sent me a number for said 'daily' and I rang - I think I got her grandson, who thinks he's heard that mum is ok.
I have since phoned BT to try and report the line fault - to be told that mum does not have a BT phone line. I'm sure she does.....
It's 4.45, to top everything Murray has dropped the first set and vodka is calling.....
AND I DON'T DRINK VODKA!!!!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

A "Phew" to CY.
Can I mention that BT managed to not only change the name on boyfriend's mum's bill but, at the same time, changed her address to somewhere that doesn't exist? Luckily, the direct debit payment was still in place so the bill was at least getting paid and she wasn't disconnected.
Paperwork reducing, have had first trip to recycling, and second batch of laundry chugging away in the background:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
