Posi-vibes and fingers well and truly crossed for Skinty and DD2 today.
CY glad your mum is ok. Don't get me on my soapbox about outsourcing....Thank you for all the sympathy everyone xx
LameWolf..we are pretty sure it was instant..only had a little blood coming from his mouth...no other marks on him,he was 15 too so had a good long life.xx
Will be waiting a few weeks then persuading mum to get another one...she will probabaly want an older cat though not a kitten.
Talking of re-homing little oldies... HB I'm sure Mrs Dog will feel a lot more [STRIKE]human[/STRIKE] canine after her visit to the beauty parlour.:D I always hope my guests will bring their grooming kit with them; I actually find brushing a dog to be soothing and therapeutic.:omrs-moneypenny wrote: »washing up done, recycling out worksurfaces S&Sed just started tea, DH walks in and said you shouldnt knock yourself doing all this cleaning while you dont feel 100%. put your feet up and do some stitching or read a book tomorrow. oh if only he knew.
The kitchen sink is no longer leaking; Mr LW had it all to bits last night - I could hear lots of huffing and sighing and a fair bit of "interesting" language coming from the kitchen, so I holed up in the lounge; I thought if he needs my assistance, he'll call.;) One day we shall have to bite the bullet and get the kitchen redone completely.... but I've been saying that for the last six years or so.:rotfl:
I've flitted a duster-onna-stick round; Mr LW is going to move the large ornaments to dust properly over the weekend. I need to do a quick Dys0n Tango before the hairy ones descend on me, as Bailey dislikes vacuums, and will bark his silly head off, and then Cassie will join in just for the hell of it. *rolls eyes*If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

OH gone to get DD1.. and the rest of the baby bedding.. she was going to wash it.. I told her not to bother because I am a neurotic loon and would rewash it anyway.. I know it is clean.. but it doesn't smell like mine so needs to be washed.. she knows I have these strange behaviours.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

white or strawberry pink
Mr L sell it too and Mr W - it is disgusting if you ask me
Hall, shower room, stairs all sparkling clean.
First lot of towels washed and dried
WM2 on
DW emptied
Boiler serviced - more money but I now know it is safe.
Lunch now and then I'll tackle the bathroom and landing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
DW emptied, WM fed, kids fed, broccoli on for soup for later, all done at school (yes, as suspected, he had a lovely time!) so were just having a quiet hour, then I'm popping out to collect my friends DD from her transition to high school day. They've now been told it finishes at 2.30 and she can't get out of work, but they won't let them walk home either (although, I'm dropping her at her sisters childminder which would be a bit of a trek for her anyway)
Then I think my dad is dropping in before hols, and before you know it, it will be tea time and getting ready for bed!
Off to check my list...Bossymoo

Good afternoon
Not much flying going on here, but I have munched a few frogsI have contacted a few parents who are looking for childcare, so hopefully some more work will be coming this way soon. I have also plucked up the courage to contact the online company I had an email argument with 2 weeks ago!! I just wanted them to know what happened
It turns out I was talking to the director, who said 'what do you want me to do?' I said, just have a word so she doesn't do it again - I don't need to know who it was as it would mean nothing to me. He said, how about if I give you a years subscription free so you can have a play with the system properly and see what you think. I umm'd a bit, so he said 'the answer is yes'. So I have £99 +VAT of free subscription!! :j that was worth the phone call
I think I am going to munch another frog now - while I am on a roll!
Thinking of Skint & her DD today. I hope all goes ok.0 -

DD got a taste for it when she went new york last year, it was her late birthday/welcome back from devon cake so i put a filling in she'd like.
it is a bit sweet, but DD uses it a lot in her cake making, if my lads find a jar in the cupboard they eat it by the spoonful. It really should come with a dentists phone number on it.;)
weather looking good so off to hang some washing out.
DH and me fed and hes gone back to work.SPC~12 ot 124

I have spent the last hour on the phone - on & off - to BG, EDF & the Energy Savings Trust re getting a grant for a new boiler. I was told that I would get a call in 7 working days - 2 months ago! Apparently there are no installers yet in our area (only one of the heaviest populated areas outside of London!) I will keep at it
I have also cleaned the WM drawer & put it on a clean cycle. DH, in his wisdom, decided to wash the dogs towel etc with other stuff  I have had to rewash everything as it was covered in hair  I suppose he was only trying to help0 -
So sorry some of you are having trouble with old ladies and phones. My mum (76) is so tech-savvy it beggars belief really; she has a PC with two monitors so she can watch TV on one monitor while she surfs on the other; she's on Facebook - one neice complained that none of her friends had their Grandmas on facebook LOL and spent time down the genius bar at the apple store this week getting her faulty i-phone checked - she couldn't get on the internet. At O2 they told her they could - she leaned over and pointed at the phone and pinted out she too could get on the internet on 3G; what she wanted to do was get on on WiFi - eventually a hardware fault was diagnosed and she had to pay towards a replacement. This is after trying all fixes suggested online. She's very happy as she has only lost two apps, she has all her important ones.
Unfortunately because she can do all this stuff I kind of tend to assume that most people could;)
Been really busy; managed to get bathroom cleaned and been to town for £100 of ten and twenty pence coins. DD kindly carried 'em. I have floats to make up for summer fair after I have dropped DD at work.
Anyone who may be doing party bags - WILKOs have crafty stuff greatly reduced. Packs of stamp pads and stamps for 10p; packs of fancy scrap paper 10p, wooden things you paint (with paint) for 30pDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

my mil wont even try to put a dvd in on her own, weve explained it times but no dh has to put one on for her, shes got a moby but it lives on the mantle piece and get charged up then left to go flat and charged up again. when i took her to the hospital the other week i told her to take it to ring the taxi she was horrified, "but we wont find anywhere to plug it in":rotfl:
i sometimes think she choses not to learn things so we do it all for her.
even down to putting the recycling in the right bags, if i point out its wrong so wont be collected she says oh dad always used to do that so i didnt know. hes been gone 2 years now:(
but when he was here she was always moaning how lazy he was and she had to do everything.SPC~12 ot 124

ho hum - have just phoned the PO again re mums unsorted line fault.
Apparently it is BT who do the repairs - and it can take up to 3 working days......
'But she's 85 and on her own' I said.....
But apparently she doesn't fulfil their criteria to get it sorted quicker...
Texted my sister (in Paris atm) and cannot print her reply - this family friendly forum wouldn't let me!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
