Apparently it is BT who do the repairs - and it can take up to 3 working days......

If it's any help, BT were working Sundays (admittedly, in the Midlands) 2 weeks ago as that's when my Mum's line got fixed.

Laundry's in. Washing up due to be put away, ditto ice cream machine if I can work out how to separate the washable and non-washable parts... :D

The phone repair doesn't need entry to the house, so no worries there mrs-m, but thanks for raising it!

I am heading off to mums after work - I still haven't heard from her in person and I can't stand it any longer!

Hugs to froddington and the family concerned - we've been through it at school and it's hard.

Triker - lovely to see you!

Froddy what terribly sad news about the little boy.:(

Skinty sending your DD2 the strength of the Dragons to help her stay off the vile coffin-nails.

I'm not liking this heat; I can't do anything much at all without my wrist splints on, and my hands and wrists sweat horribly and get all itchy and uncomfortable with them on as it's so hot; yeuch.

The Hairy Hooligans have had a lovely game in the garden - unfortunately I can only throw the ball underarm now, and then not very hard; but Mr LW will come outside with us over the weekend and do some throwing. Both dogs are moulting for Britain, so Mr LW can help with grooming, too - he can do Cassie, as she loves being brushed, but Bailey's not very co-operative, so best if I see to him, as I don't take any old buck from him.;)

I have to visit the audiologist tomorrow morning - 6-monthly check-up to make sure I haven't got any deafer, and ensure my hearing aid is working correctly and make any adjustments needed. Oh joy!! I hate going into town on a Saturday, but needs must....
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Bills paid.. now to sort the returns of DD1's excess prom shoes... we ended up with about 10 pairs!! lol .. few more bits to return too.

OH bathing Dot.. she has a really sore bottom which was fine 2 hours ago and she won't let us clean her so she is dumped in the bath for poo removal.

Sorted my pile of papers. 3/4 is now recycled and I have written new appointment dates and next months budgeting in the diary.

is it just me or are there thousands of disgusting flies about at the moment?? I loathe the darn things!!

Dot down for a nap.. she couldn't stop crying.

Parcels packaged and ready to collect tomorrow.. that should knock most of my balance off :D They can hog the sofa in the front room until they are collected.

OH going to do some swaps at DD1's and I'm going to feed Squeak.. I may get carried away and load the DW.

Froddington, I'm sorry I didn't post my condolences sooner. Gentlest of hugs for everyone affected.

    And for Mummyof5's mother.

Super-urgent finding ticket vibes for Mrs MP.

Mrs Dog looks and smells totally different, although the 'excellent ears' are really very odd indeed. It's a pleasure to be around her at long last and be able to touch, stroke and tickle her without needing to disinfect your hands afterwards - she really did stink! Apparently her skin is in bad condition - no surprise there.

The WM will be going all day now that it has finally stopped raining and the sun has come out - I've got two week's laundry from the house and the chalet to get through. Lovely Lodger did hers last night, and I've shuffled all of hers on to one line but we're very restricted on drying space which is a bit of a problem. I hate drying stuff indoors. We've turned our mattress and vacuummed it and I think I'll do the top floor while the Dy$on's up here. Then the shower room and then carry on with the kitchen. Catering planning is at the 'running it by a food safety expert' stage so I don't poison everyone.
    Better is good enough.
