That's an excellent recommendation, and looking I see they are reasonably well recommended on joypad Lewis website (I'd not heard of them
). What's after care and service like? Our old Miele is still being patched up well by them. 0 -
Got to say I love my Henry.
I've had about 6 vacs in 10 years and Henry is the one that has lasted the best. I've had a Dyson which was rubbish and eventually broke when I knocked it down the stairs!
Henry's pretty sturdy though - he get's knocked all over the place and I've used him to vac up bits of tile when we did our bathroom out and recently when we had our hall plastered. He copes with everything!0 -
I love my Henry too, I would'nt have any other vacuum cleaner now x0

My oldest Miele is over twelve years old. It's fallen down the stairs twice, once almost entirely coming apart. Miele repaired it. It's still better finish than Henry, which is unbeatable for basic and crude cleaning.Got to say I love my Henry.

Does anyone have a Roomba? I've always wondered how good they are. The thought of being able to take the dog out for a walk and come back to a vacuumed upstairs has rather a large appeal.

Otherwise I'm an upright Dyson girl, I'm too tall for a cylinder like a Henry, they kill my back.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -

Without sounding like a mad hoover obsessed nutter, I did have one briefly. It was pretty rubbish really, couldn't cope with a rug at all, it simply did the same strip of the living room, I had the posh version with the virtual wall. The bit it did clean wasn't all that clean. I sent it back.
I'd have loved for it to have worked, coming home to nice clean floors every day would have been bliss.:A

I had an upright Vax and wasn't impressed, ended up giving it to the couple upstairs.
Got a Hetty now, and she certainly does the biz, especially with a beige living room carpet and a black cat shedding all over
Heard good stuffs about the Miele ones also.0 -
We have only had two vacuum cleaners in 21 years, an Aquavac 3000 and the present Dyson DC04, which wprks great following a great thread on here about cleaning the filters.
The Aquavac is great for heavier waste and where water is lying, so I use it in the garage and the cellar.0 -

My Sebos
Aftercare?
I don't know, they are only 6, 5 and 3 years old, when they need aftercare I'll let you know.
Service?
They are German made, there is a UK website you can order spares from, or most Carpet Cleaning suppliers can get you them. There is even a Sebo shop I know of in Warwick.0
