Everyone has an opinion on how you're bringing your child up, and won't be afraid to share it with you.

When pregnant you become public property and everyone feels it's fine to touch your bump when talking to you (even complete strangers!)

That you will never go to the loo in peace again.

The baby will suddenly become the most interesting thing it the world, and you won't be able to stop talking about how they have done x.

(they're the immediate one's that come to mind)

How to make the dinner with one hand only
That diarrhea (sp.) comes out body temperature but quickly gets very, very cold on your legs once it reaches the air
Projectile vomiting is just that - totally projectile
That I loved the smell of a newborn's dirty nappy  (and still do)
that my heart hurts when they're upset
that the naughty step is just an excuse for them to misbehave sans witnesses
that I mimic baby's mouth actions when I spoon feed
that you're never, ever bored or lonely with a child in your life

That telling them off, even when deserve and for the best would break my heart when they burst into tears (but of course that's all kept inside!).

That I would suddenly become so safety conscious and the idea of getting on a roller coaster would become hell!

I do that, even in public :rotfl:

That I'd actually answer the front with all sorts of bodily fluids down my clothes.

That I knew NOTHING until my children were born. Everything I knew prekids seems to have become irrelevant. Even everything I learnt at school seems to have changed!!

Oh, and who knew how far stretch marks could go!!
“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”

How to eat with one hand - whilst holding baby with the other.

In fact, how to do anything with one hand.

How terrifying the stairs are - you've walked up and down them your whole life, but as soon as you're holding a baby you lose the ability to put one foot in front of the other, without being worried you're going to fall.

You will do anything to stop them feeling pain. Spending the day covered in another persons bodily fluids won't bother you at all.

And - I didn't know how truly like my mother I am until I had children!

That after giving birth jumping on a trampoline will never quite feel the same.

How different the love you feel for your kids is to the love you feel for others.

You will still think of your child as the tiny baby you had no matter how old they get!
