Everyone has an opinion on how you're bringing your child up, and won't be afraid to share it with you.
When pregnant you become public property and everyone feels it's fine to touch your bump when talking to you (even complete strangers!)
That you will never go to the loo in peace again.
The baby will suddenly become the most interesting thing it the world, and you won't be able to stop talking about how they have done x.

that my heart hurts when they're upset
that the naughty step is just an excuse for them to misbehave sans witnesses
that I mimic baby's mouth actions when I spoon feed
that you're never, ever bored or lonely with a child in your life0 -
That telling them off, even when deserve and for the best would break my heart when they burst into tears (but of course that's all kept inside!).

Oh, and who knew how far stretch marks could go!!“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”0 -
How to eat with one hand - whilst holding baby with the other.
In fact, how to do anything with one hand.
How terrifying the stairs are - you've walked up and down them your whole life, but as soon as you're holding a baby you lose the ability to put one foot in front of the other, without being worried you're going to fall.Married my wonderful husband 31st July 2011 :j

That after giving birth jumping on a trampoline will never quite feel the same.
How different the love you feel for your kids is to the love you feel for others.
You will still think of your child as the tiny baby you had no matter how old they get!0
