Thanks Shelbi! Pop in anytime to say hi!
I seem to have a day of feeling motivated and a day of "can't be bothered" at the moment! Hoping that by coming on here I can keep the motivation up!
So many things I want to do without the dreaded debt hanging over us! Its much easier this time around as the debt is manageable and my OH is fully on board this time.
Talk to you soon!1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
Well yesterday turned out to be a productive day in a non-money way. I got a load of ironing done while making the tea, then got it finished off after tea while OH bathed the kids. Then I got our weekly shop done at Asda at night, which came in at £49 - go me! That didn't include nappies, which I will probably need before the shop again next week, and I also haven't been to the butchers yet which will probably be around £20.
Today has been not so productive! Worked until lunch time, and then had DS's 2 year assessment. Generally went well, the HV is happy with him, wants to see him in 6 months regarding his speech which I always thought was very good for his age, but we'll see what she says then - I'm not worried tho.
DD had a friend over as I thought it would be a distraction to her while I spoke to HV but she's been nothing but a brat all afternoon! Her friend is here for tea too, so I am just waiting on their pizza to cook then will take her friend home.
Can't wait til the kids go to bed tonight, days like these tire me out, it was supposed to help having a friend to play, not make it worse!
Planning on washing the car after tea, its a lovely evening, and the car is filthy!!
May update later, hope everyone is having a great day.1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
Hi MrsSmith
Do you want to do my ironing??!!?? The kids always know the best times to play up, I wouldn't worry about DS's speech either if your happy. My nephew didn't say a single word until he was 3 then for 16 years we haven't been able to shut him up!Total DebtLoan [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE]£2284.97

Ha ha - no thank you Little-Miss! I'm not a massive fan of it, but I split it into 4 piles and just took down one at a time! Saying that i have a load on the line which may need a rub over.
Yes DD is being a royal pain in the butt!! Just so cheeky, screaming into her friends face, bossing her about, just being a general nightmare.
DS has quite a wide vocabulary, so I'm really not worried. He chats quite a lot, I think it may have been our scottish accent that put her off understanding him!
The plan is to get the kids ready for bed after I am finished this, then I'm definately off out to wash the car, as its still lovely here, and it will work off some of my frustrations!!1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
Hi All,
Just a quick post, not a lot to update, as not a lot happening on the money front! At work today and kiddies at childcare - paid the £300ish for this week, to the childminder this morning.... ouch!! So glad this is only for a few weeks and then it will go back to £138 per week, my bank account couldn't handle this permanently!
Hubby and I are off to view a house at lunch time. Relatively local to us, and the ultimate motivation for me. I love looking at houses, and the quicker we get our finances sorted out the quicker we can move. I just hope hubby doesn't fall in love with this place, because he'll just want to do everything he can to get it, and I don't want to rush!
On the up side, its only 10 days til pay day - woo hoo!! Although most of that will probably disappear, but never mind, then its closer to August payday, when things will get back to a much more normal level.
Right, off to do some work before I go and meet Mr Smith to do this viewing.

Oooo I love nosing around houses, I like to drag my DH around some of the new builds. Have fun xTotal DebtLoan [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE]£2284.97

Ha Ha - same here Little-Miss, although my hubby hasn't been that keen until recently. The house we viewed was lovely, had gorgeous views, and perfect amount of space, garden, drive, garage, patio area - but we're not ready to move!
He's in a bit of a sulk now, because he doesn't like looking at things he can't have, but I am quite happy, ha ha!!
We need to look into all our options properly before committing to anything. First thing is whether or not to sell our current house, or see if we could rent it out. Then if we are selling, it needs to go on the market - but before all that we need to get this card paid off!
This is me all over.... off on a tangent in my own little world!!.....1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
Ahhh I do not feel good today
My daughter was testing my patience again last night, nothing new, just the usual I don't want to go to bed, I don't want to brush my teeth, then when she did go to bed, she wanted fresh water in her water bottle (even though I'd just filled it) then when I got her more, she wanted it in a different cup - so I lost it completely and ended up shouting at her like a maniac, and ended up crying myself to sleep at about 9:30
I just can't cope with her constant demands after a day at work. Its straight home to demand, demand, demand from her and her little brother seems to get left to the side because he's completely different and quite a mellow little soul.
My hubby said to me last night while I was close to tears, "I don't know whats wrong with you, other people manage to be parents" which didn't help, but now I'm sat at work thinking, why am I not managing? I feel so sorry for my daughter having me as a mum, but then I think if she would calm down a bit then maybe I wouldn't get so wound up.
I just don't know what to do for the best :sad:1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
Oh dear, I sound like such a terrible, frazzled mother in my last post!! This evening bedtime was much better than last night I'm happy to report. I don't know if the kids were more tired tonight because of the heat, but they went to bed with not much hassle and are both snuggled up fast asleep!
Moneywise I don't have much of an update, I have a few things to list for sale, and I also sold a boys bike to someone at work which is being picked up tomorrow. Thats £10 but my DS is booked in for a haircut so the majority of that will go to his haircut, and the change in his piggy bank. One of my aims is to properly save for the kids, so instead of paying £4 into the bank, I will just pop the change into his bank.
Will need to do a food shop tomorrow, but OH is going to have to pay for that as I am pretty much running on empty til next Tuesday.
Really enjoying watching Princess Diana's Dresses, I love dresses and was quite a Diana fan, I shook her hand once when I was a little girl handing her a posey of flowers!
Good night for now,
