Hi all
I had a spendy day yesterday:o. £10.24 in B&M and £6 in Asda. I have very little money left in bank (£13) and I'm hoping that my travel expenses turn up before the weekend.
Groceries: £127.40/£100

Hello,
did a big grocery shop yesterday that will hopefully last a while. Didn't even know LIDL did reductions (YS) of products. So picked up some reduced pork, fish and mince. Also must have gotten the time right for Tesco (usually go 8pm or on weekends, this time just after 5) and found a few veg like cauliflower, broccoli and kale for 5p each. So those stories are trueThe rest of the week and most of the weekend should hopfully be SFDs

Thanks to all those who offered advice for my "dilemma." Lotti wins though for opening my eyes to the relative costs, and LAGL offered another good suggestion.
So I have decide to not go clubbing, park residential and get a taxi back to the car.
Thing is the lunch and afternoon will be relatively few of us (7 or 8 I think) and so is quality time. Dancing in a club is not quality time! :rotfl: Beyond 5-6pm there'll be lots of other people who haven't seen this friend at all yet, so will be clammouring for attention. And besides I don't think I have it in me anymore to keep going for 16hrs or whatever it will be!
So I shall enjoy his company over lunch and the afternoon, and then stay in the out for most of the evening to be social. And then go home and have a good night's sleep in my own bed.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Work is mad! Still watching! Checking in properly tonight!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Evening all!
I have a tabby on my knee and I have use of LLL's computer so no squinting over my minuscule net book. Tabby is very happy with herself as the computer screen is so far back and the keyboard on a pulley tray she can lie right in front of me and purr away..
SO went to see Pacific Rim tonight and The Worlds End yesterday at the cinema.. seems like me and the cinema buddy had a lot to catch up on as we hadn't see each other in three weeks and we wanted to make use of our cards...(saddo's)..
So it looks like there has been some dilemma's along the way...KarmaChi I think you chose the best option - save where you can but please be safe...
Abundant - I need to read through your expenditure for the month again and make sure I am on track with your spending. I really think you need to be a little more open with friends about your money and what you REALLY want to do ( i.e. get rid of your debt) and see what kind of friends they really are. Stop thinking you have to treat yourself - you don't. The treats come when you clear your debt....( I might eat my words soon ).. but you get my drift...I want to see your friends support you - do you ask them for play-dates before the month starts..?
LAGL - whats the news??
Kicking myself for not placing a bet on George Alexander being the Cambridge baby's new name... have been suggesting this name combination all week to friends.... :rotfl:
Anyone else feeling entirely drained this month..? I am so utterly tired now and for the last few weeks. I know the heat doesn't help but I don't like feeling like this and generally unable to focus.
No more OT for me this month and I am SO annoyed! I am really starting to panic now that I will miss my deadline... I need to refocus and I think the break back home might be what I need.
I am thinking more about the travel I want to be doing next year and it has spurred me on. I sent "that" email to my line manager yesterday for him to mull over today whilst I was on a course so will no doubt have something to say to me tomorrow. The OT I do is in a completely different building/location to where I work during the week - it has been made known to me that my current office has an OT budget to spend with which I asked them why I was not being properly utilized and having to go elsewhere for work... we shall see what comes from all this.
If you don't ask you don't get...
Right.. I need to snooze... sorry if this is a little disjointed.. I can barely keep my eyes open...
Onwards...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Hi, not a SFD I am afraid..
1. We are finally giving in and getting a replacement part for our DW so that hopefully it limps on for another few years..it's £23 but hopefully it will get us through!
2. Had to reimburse my mum ( they are pensioners after all:rotfl:) for postage as my DD left her special hat at their house at the weekend and they returned it
