  • Wow! That makes me want to start going to carboots! I've fallen in love with the range but £26 for a stocking and £50 for a wreath is a crazy price. Are they difficult to do? I've never done something like them before

    Hi vikki,

Just wanted to share about the Bucilla kits - this is one that I finished a couple of years ago. The roof comes off so you can put sweeties inside!

It did take quite a long time to do, but I absolutely loved making every bit of it and love it even more now that it's finished. I wouldn't say that it's difficult, just quite time-consuming, but loads of fun! They are expensive, but I reckon you get value for money from the time you spend making them.

I've got another one to do but haven't started yet - it's this gingerbread wreath (can you tell I like the whole gingerbread Christmas thing?!)

I got both of mine through ebay, from US sellers for around £25ish.

  • Mrs-money penny it's looking fantastic, so detailed. Did you know there's a lady who has done lots and lots of the stockings decided to film herself doing the wizard of oz stocking with hints and tips (although I cans see you clearly don't need them!)

Oh that's so cute, and you have done it so well. I adore gingerbread things too, I ended up biting the bullet and ordered the Night before Christmas stocking (a gift for my mum as the poem is very special to us both) and I couldn't resist that gingerbread wreath either! I figured I would use some of my competition winnings to buy them. I ordered from amazon and sadly I'm looking forward to them so much I even dreamt they had arrived (did I just confess that!!!).

What stuffing do you and miss money penny buy? I saw on the YouTube vid you have to buy the stuffing

Wow just found this thread, such lovely things on here. I am subscribing, I might be brave enough to show some of my creations but feel a bit inadequate compared to all these gorgeous items.

  • Hello iammumtoone, and welcome to the Crafting bit of the MSE forum. I'm a newbie to this part of the MSE forum too. I was a 'few years old' member of the MSE forum, but did the usual - lost my password, and since I was impatient and wanted to join in right away, I re-joined as a 'newbie' just so that I could 'be with' all the lovely folks on this fantastic Crafting section. It's ahhhmazing, isn't it?!

As Mrs. Moneypenny says; don't feel anything less than a great crafter. Everyone here is so lovely and they're really encouraging to everyone - whether you've been crafting since birth or if you're totally new to the whole thing. It's a really lovely place to hang out.

Great to 'meet' you iammumtoone! :cheesy:

Looking forward to joining in and seeing all the lovely things people have made.
