I also feel a microwaved treacle pudding coming on. And before anyone asks yes homemade

Even nicer is if you put a few pear quarters (I use fresh but you could use tinned I guess) in the bottom on top of the syrup and sprinkle with some grated lemon rind, then add a tsp of ginger to the sponge mix ... YUM YUM!!! :)

Breakfast - 2 slices of toast although actually eaten nearer lunch than breakfast, I am in the camp of no food in a morning thanks!

    Lunch nothing due to above

Dinner - My first attempt at Curry_Queens spiced beef and beans although it has suffered some recipe abuse so if its bad it will be my fault!
Red kidney beans have become chick peas
No tin of tomatoes cos I dont like them
Mushrooms in as well cos I had some in
Other than that its the same!

So fingers crossed I will have a lovely dinner with a crusty baguette mmmmmmmmm

PS Curry Queen have you eaten yet? Im getting worried now 2 days without is not good xx

Not hard really. Victoria sponge...microwave...blitz for about 3 mins...and pour over treacle...leave to stand. Get custard and blitz that. When the custard is done, the treacle has soaked in.

Can do other puds like that as well. Spotted 'you know what'...victoria sponge with saltanas. And whilst I'm on the subject. My OH thinks I'm mad because I have butter and sugar with this pud. Its something that I've always done...learnt from parents way back when. Please can someone tell me if this is just a local thing from where I grew up, or not?

To quote squeaky: "no recipe is set in stone" or something like that ;)

I put borlotti and canellini beans in as well as the kidney beans, and also added some mushrooms, and DS had double helpings so it can't have tasted too bad!!! Plenty left-over too - some in fridge, some in freezer!

Nope not eaten yet, just got no appetite at all. Thanks for worrying but I'm sure I'll be fine :)

I used to always skip breakfast when I was younger but just can't do it now. I usually have a hot, hard boiled egg sandwich. I adore boiled eggs with toast but can't eat runny eggs as they upset my stomach so I have to have an egg sandwich instead now. Washed down with a large cup of tea. For lunch I have a sandwich, salad or baked potato followed by a cup of tea and a mini timeout bar. Tonight for tea I had a roast chicken leg with oven chips, rice and some bought sweet and sour chilli chicken sauce (it was a bit hot!).

I love rice with sauces and my favourite meal is my own homemade chili (without the beans) with plenty of rice. Yum!
