3Kg...crikey. I made 4 small individual shepherds pies with only 500g!

On that note its home cooked shepherds pies tonight, thanks to my freezer. Problem is that OH loves them so much I'm going to have to make some more this weekend. Last time he held out his plate as per Oliver.

    Thurday (05/05/05)

    B: Bran flakes with sultanas
L: HM veggie soup with HM bread, apple (boys have theirs in flask in lunchbox)
D: Chilli and Rice, green salad (chunky cucumber, cress LOL ) - plain yogurt, chopped banana with sprinkle of brown sugar on top

    Friday: (06/05/05)

B: Toast (use up Thurs, HM bread)
L: Tuna rice salad (l/o rice) - (boys will have sultana and apple in their side tub)
D: L/o veg soup, Chilli Calzone (using up l/o chilli), carrot salad - jelly + tinned fruit (dented tin, 10p ;) )

Not very exciting, I know, but at least I won't be tempted to have a take-away or last minute "trot-t'shop" ;)

Porridge this morning....yum. After I'd persuaded my other half to extract if from the top shelf for me. And no the shelf isn't high, and yes I am a tad limited in height.

Tonight it will be homemade pizza...again. Its so much nicer than the bought varieties, especially using my little breadmaker for the dough.

Now all I need is a recipe for garlic bread baguettes....

Simply mash chopped/crushed garlic into some butter, add a spoonful of freshly chopped parsley - voila! - garlic butter :D

Take a french stick, or a part baked baguette (or use your own fresh dough to make a long cooked baguette). Cut slashes though it along the length but not all the way through, push in some of your HM garlic butter, stick on a baking tray and put in the oven for a few minutes.

    HTH :D
