Had 4 costa coffee espressos this morning while seeing OH off at the train station then had a sinful sausage sarnie at work.
For lunch i have 2 little sarnies, one turkey and cheese and the other salami and cheese, sadly the cheese and meet were quite enough to make a full sandwich of each.
For tea im going to have lemon and garlic steamed chicken with some garlic rice. yummers... i can have all the yummy food i like while OH is away.0 -
I made a lasagne today for tea, which was quick and easy, as I am not meant to be doing anything too strenuous, I put the left over veggies, mushrooms, courgette, squash, tomato etc in it.... then you don't need so much cheese ! Yummy xxx** Getting back in the swing of saving again.... **

Trying to find the best deals to save as much as we can..........0 -
Hi all! Brekkie for me was 2 slices of Hovis medium sliced white bread (incredibly expensive way to pay for forgetting to buy bread - had to buy it at the One Stop!) with half a can of Tesco baked beans - also had a mug of tea with skimmed milk. I am guessing this cost about £0.50 including tea
Packed lunch at work is a Mattessons wdafer thin ham (again from the One Stop - Note to Self: Buy more reliable brain) with Heinz plughmans pickle (on offer 2 for £0.89 at Morrisons) sandwich and a Weight Watchers yoghurt (already consumed). OH is coming to meet me for a picnic in the park so lunch may also include a small glass of wine left over from the bottle last night. I am guessng this costs about £1.50 including wine
Tea tonight will be, due to lack of funds before Friday, a Tesco value individual chicken & vegetable pie £0.78 for 4, so about £0.20 per pie, smash about £0.30 per portion, broccoli about £0.25 per portion, cauliflower about £0.30 per portion and gravy about £0.10 per portion - a grand total of about £1.15 per person for dunner and about £3.15 per day - not bad!Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0 -
Your tea sounds yummy! i might just change my tea plans!0

he he cheap and cheerful! It was either that or something with either fish fingers, fish cakes or fish portions - but OH had boil in the bag fish on Monday and we had fish cakes last night - thought we might end up with gills if we carried on the way we were going!Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0

Going to daughters sports day at 1.30 so for tea I will do potato salad with turkey escalopes (were 75p instead of £2.49 per pack with fresh peas and baby courgettes at 20 p each last night!)"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
All this talk of food is making me hungry - off to linger outside until OH turns up - back in an hour! xxxKirsty, Taunton, xxx0

Following on from everyones meal planners which were great, just wondering what everyone was cooking/baking today. I know people (including myself) tend to post on the daily thread what they having but I love being nosey
and look to others for inspiration and ideas when I'm stuck.
So Heres what I'm baking today,
Fruit cake for lunch boxes and afternoon cuppa
Meat & potatoe pie for dinner tonight
Eves pudding
Thanks

Well, today I need to make more bread-3 loaves at once by hand.
I shall also make some muffins for lunchboxes/snacks-not sure what kind yet.
I shall also make an orange jelly for tonight's pud using a tin of mandarins.
For our evening meal we are having chicken and pea risotto with salad, followed by the jelly.
Oh,and I must put the yoghurt maker on.0 -
