    refunds through here very quickly - spent on sunday £5 back on amex card tues and mbna amex on weds :)
  • Only just noticed this promotion is back - nice, though shame it's not the unlimited spend £5 / get £5 back deal from November last year. That one was valid for use in an unlimited number of retailers (once per outlet). Maybe too many retailers complained about that one... but fingers still crossed for a return in November - last year I effectively managed over £300 worth of free goods.

    Also the map isn't great this time round - where's the search by retailer type option?!

    I am loving this deal spent £70 on oyster top up but paid half the price.

    Did experience 2 merchants who refused to accept the card after I eatern in a restaurant, raised a complaint online and Amex put a full credit of £10 on the account for both the occasions.
  • I'm not having much luck with this promotion. I have been to three different retailers whom are included in the Shop Small promo and all three have stated they don't take Amex even when I prompted them to see if it would go through they refused.

    hi bellagio, I,m in same dilemma. used my plats and mbna yesterday, at outlet, got2 plat e-mails immediately, but no1 mbna?
    I,ve used all 3 on several occassions this promo time, and all 3 went through no probs, immediately, except this once.
    Last time this happened, ( last year) amex/mbna said it was others responsability, BUT, it,s an AMEX promo.so I deem it thier responsability.amex coughed up, after a bit of quibble;
    I am phoning them today, sent internal message to mbna, ( no reply yet).
    Not sure who sends e-mails out, but, presume it,s AMEX;
    your best bet is phone amex, if the outlet is on thier list of shopsmall outlets.same as me;
    depending on which amex card you use, number varies.
    plats is 0845-604-2638, customer service, have your card handy.;
    UPDATE; I have just rang Mbna first, then Amex. as promo is Amexs' they have refunded my £5 onto my Amex card, not Mbna, No probs, so cannot see you having any bellagio;
