Recorded mail to HSBC????

Okay, so I got to the bank, and as expected, they had no clue about it all, despite the chap at 1pm telling me it was all arranged! Anyway, they were very nice and rang around until they found the form on file - BUT, they still couldn't fax it anywhere as BT were in trying to sort out the fax line as its been down all day. (I saw the van outside before going in, so they did have an issue with something)

They gave me two copies and said I was welcome to fax one myself if I had access to a machine, and they'd send the original via internal mail. Will a fax sent by me actually count, though? Anyway, I've sent one just in case, and have printed confirmation it was sent etc.

So I guess now I just have to wait all over again for the original one to arrive in the internal mail system.

If you don't want to wait at least another four weeks, you already know EXACTLY what to do!;)

Just a little update - the copy signed in branch last Friday reached the right dept on Monday and was logged, and I've just been into my online banking, and my settlement is showing to go into my account tomorrow!!!
