Thanks for the views on getting a breast pump before birth - think i will be scouring the net for a decent/cheap one now!

RE: muslins - i just brought 20 from eBay for £5 they are used but i'm sure an extra wash before use & they will do their job - was a little worried as they only quoted £0.90 for postage - but i did email to double check - so they can't go back on their word now - can they?

Hola there Madbird! hope all is well in your world?

I'm feeling a bit the same claree. Don't really want to go too far as I can suddenly feel very unwell. I'm walking literally about 0.5 of a mile later to visit a friend who is the head of our local primary school, and even that is worrying me a bit. Probably wouldn't be so bad if it was just me, but with a toddler in tow it can take AGES to get anywhere!

Having said that, I don't particularly want him sat in front of the tv all day either, so needs must.

Got a call from the GP today. My routine bloods from Monday show I am anaemic so iron tablets for me. I am already constipated (sorry TMI) & taking Benefibre regularly so am concerned the tablets will make it worse. Any tips?

Just been reading back through everyones posts, people sound just as frustrated as me in the latter stages !
This weeekend I had early labour signs, bab tried to make an escape, 2 days in hospital and he failed and came home monday evening... he barely moved between monday night and yesterday, tired himself (midwifey checked him, hes fine) but now i'm ridiculously hungry, last night i had 2 bacon,ham,cheese brown sauce sandwiches, THREE lots of those baby sized cereal boxes and ice cream, then woke up at 1am and had 2 slices of toast and another little box, now since 9am i've had 2 slices of toast, another box of cereal and a load of lumps of cheese... i'm starving!!! but hes having a party in there now, so confused, he's defo not a normal baby! x

Hi all, another one here who had a carp nights sleep - couldn't get to sleep tll almost midnight, awake at half two on and off until half five, and just couldn't get back to sleep at all. I'm also permanently hungry today!

Doesn't help DH shifts are all over the place just now, he normally does 12-15 hours shifts four days a week, but been doing an extra day as overtime for months now. Normally he starts between 5am and 6am, through til early evening but last night he got a call to say he doesn't need to go until 8am this morning. So off he goes, to get sent home again as a lorry hasn't arrived, so now he's starting at half ten - so wont finish until after midnight tonight - when he's meant to be in at 5am tomorrow! Feel like I shouldn't complain as he's lucky to have a job (and overtime) these days, but we never see each other and he's permanently shattered :mad:

So it's a lovely sunny day here, and I'm still in bed feel rubbish. I've a friend coming round for lunch, have nothing made and the house needs hoovered. Luckily, she's not the sort to worry about things like that lol, and will prob drag me out the house for a walk to the bakers to get something for our lunch

Anyhow, rant over, hope everyone has a good day, and hugs to those that need them.
