How can any parent do this?

The recent story of the murder of Keanu Williams has made me so angry and affected me it has surprised me. A bit like the 'baby-p' murder I am struggling to understand why any parent /person would/allow abuse there child in such a inhumane way that any 'normal' person wouldn't even do to an animal! Even looking at the forensic images makes my blood boil
The prosecution stated that she saw her child as ‘obstruction to living her life as she wanted' what a load of f***ing b******t. A child is not something that you can pick up and discard when you want to.
And the father, he must have known or thought that something was going on and he should have reported it, even the child's grandfather saw bite marks and yet nothing was done.
I know that there have been failures to protect the child but this needs to be the last case, how many more innocent children must suffer at the hands of these vile excuse for a life.
The only good thing in a way is that the judge has said he needs time to reflect and consider a sentence, because when this creature decides to appeal at least the prosecution can state that the judge did try and sentence accordingly. But knowing our lax and soft justice she will be out in three years, with a new name and a new life. I think we all know that there is only once punishment that is fit the crime she has committed and yet we cannot impose it because of some silly ECHR rulings. Or that we can send her to the US where she can serve something like 150 years in a supermax where she will have like one hour outside her cell. But of course, her human rights will come first.......despite the fact that she murdered an innocent child in such a brutal manner......

I can't read or hear anything to do with this story. It just makes me angry. Just scanned your post. Just hang this woman.0

The monster who did this must have some mental issues etc
They were discussing it on the radio this morning. Lacking empathy sociopath etc
She did have drug issues. When she got bail she was excited about going out that evening.
If you really do not care for your child. Can you not give them up for adoption etc?0 -
Who cares what her issues were? She did this, she'll be out in no time and popping out more kids before you know it.0

An interesting topic...but don't you just think that everyone's on a sliding scale?
Personally, I think that anyone that spits in the street, drops litter, gets in fights after the pub, undertakes on the motorway, shoplifts, takes drugs, attacks someone, rapes someone, kills someone...I think there's something mentally wrong with the lot of them.
It's strange how society views this over history. Once upon a time being insane was, to intents and purposes, a crime. These days it's a defense.0 -

Its not about caring. Its about trying to find out any trends so you can decrease the chances of these things happening.
Take learning from this.
Eg if she had not drink / drug issues would she have made the same decision? eg give people help to get clean.
Before I sound like a liberal leftie. I would still hang the bit**0 -

Spitting in the street and littering are not indicators of mental problems. Putting someone who drops a ciggarette in the street in the same catagory as someone like Ian Brady is an extreme thing to say. :mad:No One I Think Is In My Tree.:cool:0 -

I didn't say I was putting them into the same category, I just said that everyone's on a scale....yourself and I included.
Personally, I do think that spitting and littering are indicators of something deficient in their mentality - these people have clearly not been socialised properly for whatever reason. Today it manifests itself by throwing your KFC bucket into the outside lane on the M40 - who knows how it will manifest itself tomorrow.0 -
The thing I will never understand?
'OMG. What she did is terrible. She's a monster!'
...
'We should do the same to her!':wall:0 -
I actually live about a 5 minute drive away from this area, and one thing I've noticed is a stupidly high amount of children being murdered locally. There have been several stories like this one lately, eg Kamran Rose, Levi-Blu Cassin, and several others...
And then there was the woman who threw her baby down a rubbish chute in Wolverhampton.
It's terrifying, and I can't even begin to comprehend how you could do that to your child?!
I hope justice is served, because it must be killing the poor families who have to cope with the aftermath.0 -

Thats okay. Not everyone will understand.
OMG the Austrian monster hans Fritzl who locked up his children for years. Hes a monster
'We should do the same to him!':wall:
so should he go to prison as that is state doing what he did to the children.0
