  • It could also be that if both brides are in the same friendship group and have shared moneysaving tips for the weddings that the first one set off the 'no girlfriends' thing and the other copied? That makes it less odd that both did it. When I got married, other brides and I did lots of this advice sharing marlarkey.

    Is the an EX MrsRatherGutted that they perhaps know and still keep in touch with?

    If they know her they might have both left you off the list because of mixed loyalties- however one feels they should have given you a clue as to why you aren't invited.

    Do you socialise with them at all? I would be very miffed if DH went to a wedding without me, IF the rest of the invited were there as couples- if it is only the folk from work and no other partners, then you can see where the moneysaving is coming in.

    i'd assume its just a table of work mates and no ones partners are invited. that happens a lot at weddings. they don't want to offend anyone they work with so invite all of them, if they added on +1s as well, then it would mean only inviting half the work people.
