Aww the kiddies have just made cards and put them in the drawer under the tv, I'm not allowed to look in there until Sunday :A

We've just been playing with peppa pig flash cards, DS knows nearly all his letters, bless him. A muddle between b and d and p but other than that he's really trying! Aww, proud mummy moment. We started to put some letters together so he can see how simple words are constructed. Why they thought putting the word "which" in, is beyond me ;) I may have hidden that for fear of confusing the matter :rotfl:

Mum called, she is babysitting tonight and said she'd come between 4 and 5 so I could get ready. Now she's not coming till after tea  fair enough but give me more notice! Don't know what I'm going to wear or even how I'm getting there. Grr. Doesn't know when she'll get here so can't book a taxi, so I'll just have to wait and hope I can get one quick. Going out seems more of a chore than anything :(

    Gawd I'm a right royal pain in the @rse this week, aren't I? :D

I'll belt up and go consult my list...

Hello. I decided to swallow some frogs before the paid stuff today and am glad I did as they were all money saving. So apart from dailies, no flying done around the paid stuff today.

    Weekend plans:
    Make another dog bed
    Plant veggies
    School fair
    Shopping with DD
    Charity fundraiser on Sunday

    So cake baking tonight.
Spend less now, work less later.

Quick five-mins to myself before the next round of boring emails (mostly online surveys):money:

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Deus I wish you a long and happy life together.

Fwiw, E-on have just put us up from £91 to £99 per month, for duel-fuel. I'm home the whole time, and in poor health, so the heating is on more than a lot of homes; I try to use the WM at night, but can't do this if I have a K9 sleeping in the kitchen, and I use the TD as little as I can, but if it's bedlinen or bath towels, I do tumble them if the weather's wet, as we don't have space for large wet items; I also have quite a few electric gadgets to help me with my disabilities - eg a bath lift, a mobility scooter which has to have batteries charged with leccy, and (latest acquisition) a wax bath for my paws.We don't have a DW, however.:o We use a bath of water each morning (kept shallow, and shared,;) as I need assistance anyway) but I quite often have a bath at night too, as it's the best way of getting the "squeakies" as I call it out of my back.:o

OK, these 16 remaining emails aren't going to read themselves. Once more into the breach, dear friends.....:rotfl:

Time for Mr Lamewolf to make a phone call on your behalf. All the Big 6 are expected to keep a "Social Tariff"...these are not publically advertised and eligibility criteria differs from company to company, and some of the companies only have a select limited number of clients they can place on their "Social Tariff" in any given year. In most cases a copy of DLA letter along with a letter confirmating of your energy needs should be enough to keep you on the Social Tariff. ONE IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SOCIAL TARIFFS......although they are usually cheaper than the Standard Rate for that supplier, sometimes over the longer term opting for the "Right" Fixed or Capped deal may be the better deal....so consider all your options before deciding what is right for you :)

Even if you don't want to be faffing around changing your Tariff, the Energy Companies (and Telephone companies for that matter I previously worked for a well known cable company for my sins!) are obliged to keep a "Priority Services Register". As an Power Cut would cause serious issues to your mobility and could actually be life threatening for someone dependant on nebulizer, home dialysis equipment, or for 'phones medical Panic button, each company needs to know where its "vulnerable customers" are. This means priority of need over inconvenience, and where possible generators are supplied to those in most need.

Once again copies of DLA agreement and confirmation of equipment used in the home may be enough to make sure you are not left alone and in the dark.....and importantly that any caller on official business knows to allow you longer to answer the door than an able bodied person.

If you have already done this, please accept my apologies, but HTH anyone else who might find themselves in a similar position :)

Many thanks, Skinty; we are in fact on the best tariff for us (we sat for ages with a calculator to make absolutely certain-sure of this), but hopefully the info you've kindly provided will be of use to others.:A

I also have a notice on the door saying that a disabled person lives here, and to allow me time - also, I use an entry-phone, so when they press the "bell", it shows me who is at the door, and I can pick up the handset and confirm that I'll be there in a few minutes (or tell them politely to foxtrot oscar if it's a door-to-door salesman:D).

I'm an uncomfortable Wolf at present - I have a nasty bout of eczema (sp?) - on my butt!!:eek::eek: Oh well, should stop me sitting and doing nowt for very long.......
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
