Hi ellesbelles *waves*

Looks like we'll be colour scheme twins, as I'm probably going for blue/silver too! An arctic theme sounds fab, you should have these for your cakes http://staceyssweetshop.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/penguin-mini-cake-and-cupcakes-with.html :rotfl:

That is amazing!

Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")

• Is your Wedding in the North East of England or Cumbria? If so then read on... ...Favours and table centrepieces can be very costly and often ignored or left behind at the end of the wedding. I have attended many weddings including my own where the bride and groom have spent hours and lots of money on choosing special unique table favours and a lot more money on flower centrepieces, and guess what? Yip at my wedding some the favours where left behind by guests and I bet not one guest, the next day, could tell you what my flower centrepieces looked like.:( A truly novel and cost effective option  is to combine both table centrepieces and provide favours at the same time. Contact the-Candy bar INFO@THE-CANDYBAR.CO.UK for information on how they specialise in providing a cost effective bespoke options to suit any budget. We can provide a candy bar serving candy cocktails to your guests or provide candy canap!s. Supplying this as your favour option and placed on a table as a centrepiece with plastic glasses for your guests to fill at their leisure provides a unique twist to your special day.:p:T

Always good to get a bargain! :) Have you got any pictures of the dresses? *nosey*

I am getting slightly stressed out about the money thing now, because I suspect I'm going to have to put it back yet again - my mum wanted me to come up to see her and my dad about wedding stuff sometime during the week whilst I wasn't working but I've got a temp job starting on Wednesday for at least six weeks so that's a spanner in the works. I'm still aware we've got loads of time but there's the impatient side of me that wants to know exactly what I've got to play with so I can start looking at things and getting some more concrete plans in place...

Hehe yes! Petruska dress currently 399, then the Diana navy dress for bridesmaid, then Arabella dress for littlie!!!

That's so frustrating - I know what you mean about knowing how much you have to play with... the biggie is numbers for reception as that is biggest cost :S That's good about temping work though - well done! :)

Ooh, the Petruska is lovely! I nearly bought the Diana in navy too for my bridesmaids, but the colour is just a tiny bit too dark for the scheme I want. I have sorted my dress (bought it at a sample sale at the weekend, very MSE!). Can't say too much about it though as lots of people know me on here, but I love it! I have also finally got round to getting wedding insurance too, went with Debenhams and got £15 cashback and a £5 voucher, so again very MSE :jHave made a little challenge for myself not to buy anything at full price for this wedding, so going well so far!

Hello fellow November 2014 brides (and grooms if there are any out there!), just wondering how everyone is getting on now there's only a year to go?! Eeeek!

Our planning is coming along slowly, got my entire outfit sorted and outfits for our bridesmaids, and we have just booked our photographer. I want to get our evening entertainment sorted before Christmas, then everything else can wait until the new year.

I am planning on making a lot of stuff myself (jewellery, invites, favours...) so next year will be pretty busy!
• Hi Bean!!!!

Getting there now thanks :D Ended up getting another dress (not from Monsoon!) from a local place - in sale, natch!!!!

Venue :)
We have done flowers (friend of M-I-L to be)
Given notice (eeek!) and booked ceremony
Ordered men's suits and put down deposit (Winter special deal at local place!)
Bridesmaids dresses (Monsoon sale)
Provisional guest list (hmm!)
The quintet I play with is going to do music for ceremony
Photographer

Think that's it! Certainly, those were the biggies for us so happy to have done those at least.

Next job: Invites I think... and the conversations about which cousins to invite... !!!

Lovely idea to make everything yourself :) Think we will do place names, table plan invites and favours as well as my Mum making cake. Luckily have some very arty friends!!!

Just the saving malarkey to concentrate on now... spending the money for the wedding is so much more fun!

Can't believe we are all on the year count down (and less) now yayyyyyyy!!!!!!
