  • Hey ladies,
Wow...anyone else feel that life is pretty surreal right now?!
Much left to do? We just have fiddly things like printing table plan - we know where everyone is sat, just need to type it up, then place cards etc x

I paid the photographer on Saturday so it's all paid for now. Still got to get fairy lights for the stairs - so need the venue to tell me how much we need - and gift bags for the children's goody bags (I've seen the ones I want, I just have to buy them). Stationery is all made apart from the table plan which my mum is doing tomorrow. One more dance lesson on Friday and then *whispers* I think that's it!

I have had a bit of a spanner thrown in the works though because one of OH's school friends decided to tell us on Saturday that his girlfriend has dietary requirements, but not what they are, so that's stressing me out a bit in the hope the caterers aren't going to be annoyed with us for telling them at short notice! But if that's the worst thing that happens then I should count my blessings...

  • Ahhh well done Snowball and Minerva - homeward straight then!!!!
We have paid for most things, just suits and chair covers left to go! Then yes, 0.00 in savings account boo!!!!!!
We need to finish table plan, printed it off just need to mount it...
    Make favours...
flowers for decorations (mum going to do that day before!)
    Drop everything off at venue
Presents - STILL getting these :S

Then...definitely done! Luckily I have half term that week x

    Hi guys - nearly there!!!!!!!

Almost done here, just a few things left to pay for! Got my hair and makeup trial on Saturday and a mini preshoot with the photographer in the week before the wedding, and I need to finish off the favours but they have to be done right before the wedding. And then I think that's it!! Just got to resist the urge to buy anything else wedding related before the big day - our house now resembles a bridal shop :)

Also, is anyone else obsessed with the weather?! I check for updates every single day, even though I don't really care what the weather is like - I picked our venue because it's so beautiful inside, so we can have all the photos indoors if needs be, but I can't stop worrying about it anyway!

Oh yes. I've long accepted that it's going to be cold - it's the North in November after all - but my main worry is it's going to chuck it down. Admittedly that's because I don't want to wreck my shoes walking across wet grass though! (I may have briefly considered blowing £70 on red wellies to avoid this last week...)

At the moment Accuweather says 'Considerable cloudiness with a couple of showers around, mainly late in the day' (the wedding's at three so what's the betting that means about 3.30?). Of course Friday and Sunday are nice though! Just hoping it doesn't turn out to be that bad and we do get a little bit of sun for the photos.

I bet you won't even notice the weather on the day! Hope you have a fabulous day, can't wait to hear all about it!!

I'm all done now, just got one final meeting with the photographer a couple of days before the wedding and then that's it! I've got a heart-shaped umbrella on order just in case the weather is rubbish - the forecast keeps changing so I'm not worrying about it too much.
  • Ahhh heart brolly sounds fab! Eeek your wedding countdown is going to fly by now Bean!!!

  • Good luck for those getting married on Saturday!! I'm sure you will have a beautiful, wonderful day. Can't believe it's come up so fast! Best wishes for a long and happy marriage :)

I'm so glad I've still got nearly a month to go! One very tricky situation now dealt with - anyone else's fiance a nondrinker?

Hi Anzac, I've been lurking on this thread for ages and my wedding was this Monday (not technically November, but close enough). My OH is teetotal, so we had lots of Appletiser and he drank that instead of champagne. We even wrote on the kitchen plan in large letters "Groom is teetotal, do not offer wine" - not that it stopped them, but hey ho.

Everything went very, very fast on the actual day - and if anything wasn't quite right or wasn't what we'd requested I genuinely didn't notice. I'm still coming down from the adrenaline rush!

Best of luck to you all, I hope you have the most wonderful day.
