Oh no to the TC overpayment, glad you're not getting hung up over it!
Have a fab day xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hope you had a good day OF
just home from having Sunday lunch at a friends house, they made a 3 course meal it was lovely!
I wouldn't offer them £100 a month!! It's interest free and they won't argue as long as you pay them something, I owe about 6 times as much as you and they're happy with £50 per month
Glad your not stressing over it though xx***** on the road to debt freedom *****

Morning all.
Had a really great day yesterday at wookey hole. I wasn't sure if the kids would find the caves tour boring but they thought it was amazing. Not a single crossed word between them all day. Got to play pirate golf and then got back for a BBQ at MILs. Total expenditure £6.90 plus fuel. That was £4.50 for 2 cups of coffee and £2.40 for the girls to play in the old style amusements that they loved!
Today and tomorrow the girls are at tennis. So I have dropped them off today and will start work at 10am but work till 6 as MIL is collecting them. Tomorrow hubby will take them and I will collect them at 2.15 which means I can work 7.30 till 1.30. Such a juggling act!
Will be ringing tax credits later this afternoon so keep your fingers crossed its okay!

I don't work for HMRC but I know (through job I do) that often the overpayment are incorrect so ensure that they give you a full detailed breakdown and also check that it is actually an overpayment.....sorry you have to go through this after just clearing your loan.
Will keep fingers crossed it is an error on their part lovely xx0 -
Hi all
Didn't get round to ringing Tax credits as my colleagues were at work until 6pm with me! Will definitely ring tomorrow!
I have been a muppet. After clearing my loan it said balance '8.87' so in my haste to make sure it was completely clear I paid £10 the other day. Today it says £18.87 so I almost rang the bank to ask what was going on! Then it twigged that £8.87 was what they owed me as I obviously overpaid a little too much! So I've just increased that by £10! This was confirmed when I checked a screen shot of my old balance which said 'balance -£477'....my £8.87 didn't have a minus sign in front of it! Will pop to the bank tomorrow to find out if they will automatically pay that back into my account.
I have had a nice day at work and hubby is now revising for a job interview so I am going to sit down and answer the '50 questions that will free your mind' which is one of my 101 things to do!

Morning all.
Well I only got to question 5 out of 50 last night before hubby came to bed so need to finish that today to cross it off my list. I need to work on some easy ones to get my total up. It averages out 1 thing every 10 days. So since the beginning of may I should have done 10 things and I have done just 6. My 6 things are:
Enrol on a course (book writing)
Find a geocache in a foreign country
Do a pub quiz
Go to Paint a Pot
Get a pet (Sherman)
Walk along the beach at night
I need to concentrate on a few things at a time so some easy things I can do are;
The 50 questions to free your mind
Write my bad memories on a piece of paper and burn it afterwards
Read 2 books that I wouldn't normally choose
Buy myself flowers for no reason
Compliment some every day for 10 days straight
I also need to think of 2 more things to complete my list then I can print it out as final!

Well just got off the phone with tax credits.
32 minutes on hold......but the good news is they have accepted my offer of £100 a month starting on Sept 1st. I didn't want to offer something too low that they would question my finances. I am happy with £100 a month so I consider that a good result.
He did say can you make a payment today. I said no as it was the holidays and my children cost a lot on childcare.
Then he said 'is that ALL you can afford'. To which I said yes and didn't elaborate.
I didn't get to the bank about the £18.87 but i'm sure it will work out in the end.
I am hoping for an extra £92 from work which will be handy. My boss didn't change our wage payments when the tax code changed so my wage should have been increased by £23 a month since April which means 4 wage checks have been short resulting in a £92 underpayment. I didn't want to point it out but the accountant should bring it up this month. That will be handy for September!
The girls had a lovely last day at tennis. My youngest is a lot sportier generally but DD1 got a real thumbs up from the coach who said she was playing really well. It has prompted her to consider tennis lessons which would be nice.
Tomorrow marks half way through the holidays for us...the end is in sight! I have maybe two meals out this week - one with work and one with my bestie so need to budget for those.
Need to get the £73 off my brother or I will have no money left soon!
I hope everyone has had a great day xOrange Fairy
