  • Good morning stitchers. Looking forward to a long weekend as this was my first week back at work after 2 weeks hols and it has been really busy. As a consequence was too tired to stitch in the evenings so hoping to get some done over the weekend

tricksie. Love your work especially the legs, the red dress (think I have that pattern in my stash ) and weekend in Paris though they are all lovely

ailsb hope your back is improving

beg. Wall hanging will be wonderful. Have you ever made your own cord? It's quite easy especially if you have another pair of hands to help and you can use up left over threads which will then match

mrsceejay. Is this the kit you want to finish?

Hope you make progress with your elephants because the leopard design is stunning
Dinosaur name is a great idea. Children usually love things with their name on it

    ems. Well done on progress

winniepooh. Good luck with new ventures. Very exciting

coxy great idea for fundraising. Laminating makes for good bookmarks. Small designs in key rings might sell as well

jcs. Your new framer has done a fabulous job. I may be collecting some framed pieces over the weekend :D

The dratted elephants should be finished by then, chuffed with it really.one of the most ambitious I've ever done.
How are you getting on with yours?

    Winnie the Pooh.
Congratulations on your new venture, hope its a great success.
Have a great b.h.weekend,I've got the grandsons for the weekend,so no sewing will get done!
  • Afternoon all!

As always, loving the pictures! Winnie I shall send a Facebook request.

So I'm fed, watered and ready to start. Horrible weather, perfect for staying indoors! I've got a teddy on a swing that has a ton of back stitch that I'm doing today. I'm hoping it will help me get owe my fear of back stitch!!! I will attempt to post pics later.

Have a lovely day all xx

    Hi,flowers

You've got it,just have to finish bottom right corner, won't take long, had to put it on hold as I couldn't do it in winter light ,couldn't
See the different browns, some of the stitches are 6 strands then next one is just 2!tried the day light bulbs but they seemed to make it worse,so it got put in cupboard. All you stitchers got me motivated.
The elephants are from the Cross Stitch Collection May 2012 I started it just after last Christmas, husband wanted it because he likes elephants but it has been hard going with a lot of half and quarter stitches, can't wait to start 12 days of Christmas suggested by blue eyed girl, but two dinosaurs names for two grandsons first,so much to do and not a lot of time!
    Keep me going ladies
  • Hi all,
