  • Hi fos, going to make 12 Days into a wall hanging. It will be sewn onto red felt (already on standby) - still to sort the interfacing, dowel and cord. Hubby suggested chain instead of the cord but I will have to see what is available. Good way off that yet though. Thought the hanging would be a bit of a change from the usual pictures and easier to store for 48 weeks of the year. :D

If I get a chance to stitch later today, it will be backstitching for me to finish off 11 pipers. Then there are only 3 day left to stitch.

    Take care everyone

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. Had a lovely holiday in France and managed to do quite a bit of my salamander in he last day and the day I got back. Since then I've managed to hurt my back and can't sit to stitch. I'm hobbling round usjng a stick at themoment which isn't good as I have a number of craft items entered into a County show on Thursday.

Welcome to all new comers, look forward to seeing your updates.

Soulie sorry to hear that you have been back in hospital, I hope you are feeling a bit better.

love all the updates, both versions of 12 days are coming along great as is BD. Love the tulips, they are very effective.

At work today but working from home as I can't pul my laptop bag across the works carpark. Another day lying in bed with the laptop - what a Godsend working from home is.

    Hi,everyone

Stitching like mad, determined to finish the elephants this week,(ever the optimist)just the grass in the fore ground to do!

Then to finish a kit I started last year, called the leopards gaze from the gold collection, dimensions,i got bored!reading all your posts has given me the incentive to finish it.

Got a couple of things I want to do,my grandson wants me to do a Dinosaur,no idea where to start looking for one of them, eek!

    Back to the elephants.

    Happy stitching everyone x

Ailsb - I noticed your avatar when I posted from my phone (android) earlier but it still doesn't show on my laptop which runs Chrome usually.

No stitching for me tonight cos by the time I settled down to do it I just felt so tired. :(

Let's see what tomorrow brings :D

Well ladies I have a dilemma. .....theres a small unit on a national trust site coming available early next year. They are council owned so rent is 2500 per annum. When I put my name down I said I would be selling hand made gifts and quilted things. They rang yesterday to say my name has been put forward. But ive now decided to sell a few cross stitch and tapestry kits as well. .....is this a good idea and where would I get them from

Oh and o must mention that the other twelve units are all craft shops but things like pottery photography nothing really what im doing
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!
