Lovely updates everyone, I've been stitching like mad on BD and have done quite a bit more, here's the latest update.

I also stitched the wine glass word cloud from card shop issue 89 for my sisters birthday card, it only took me 2 hours to do it :j I did it with blue thread on a light blue aida.

JCS1 beautiful Sandy hook and gorgeous colours. I'm sure it was quite difficult to stitch these emotionally for everyone but it is such a nice thing to have done.

nmm -oh you could just happy stroke that ear it looks so real. I like the birthday card and think I may do that for one of my friends who is daft on cocktails next year.

Well finished Eeyore and Pooh as promised

This is my latest WIP. It's finally looking like an actual cross stitch after having to unpick it the other day. It's for my dad's birthday. It's almost impossible to find a good cross stitch for a bloke!

JCS1 - Noah's square is so touching. It looks beautiful.

nmm - I'm sure your cocktail glass will be very much appreciated. It is quite simple but very effective. And as for BD, I still want to touch his fur. :D

Maisie - always love Pooh and Eeyore.

ems - great progress on Dad's pic. Looking forward to seeing your next update.

I've finished french hen tonight inc the backstitch :j. Will press it and take a piccy tomorrow for an update.

Got a busy day tomorrow so it will probably be a stitch-free day for me :(.

    Take care everyone

Mrs. MP - love the garden bench. :T

Just had to get the ironing board out so I thought I would give french hen a quick press before letting you see him.

Something from that Michael Powell mini cross stitch booklet that a few of us bought a while back.

Will be made up into a card for a colleague who's getting married in September. I don't know if he'll appreciate it, but I hope his fiancee will!

    Hi ladies,
I used to post on the old cross stitch cafe, but have been gone a while. I was hoping you could help me with completing a cross stitch quilt.

I've done this quilt: Quilt for a friend who has had a baby. I didn't do the words in the middle as I wanted instead to put the name of the baby, as I've done in the past with normal cross stitching.

    Here is my version:
    not27r.jpg

But - I'm at a bit of a loss now as to how to do the name. I'm happy to design it, but without the normal guide of AIDA, I'm worried it will be untidy. Any good ideas on how I can mark up the fabric to get the letters on? And I'll do some in X stitch, so ideally I'd like to overlap a grid or something so I can be accurate and neat.

    Any advice? Thanks all!
