Can I ask where you got these patterns from please, they look great and I'd love to stitch one.

The yoshi and block mario (that I'm working on now) I found via pinterest and I just used my best judgement for the colours. The others I kinda made up. There are free mario themed patterns (colour block patterns) on Pinterest, and I put a few of those into a 'scene' that I made up. If you get stuck for ideas using any of the older nintendo things, also look up perler bead or hama bead patterns. They are also a grid pattern and can be used for cross stitch! :)

Mrs TM I LOVE your mario designs!

I don't mean to lower the tone of this thread but I saw this on facebook and it cracked me up - maybe you ladies would care to try some of these stitches?!

Morning everyone, I have just realised that it is my Nan's 90 birthday coming up. I am looking for a sampler or something to stitch for her. Has anyone seen anything nice? thanks

Very nearly sprayed bright red juice (blackberry and raspberry) all over my keyboard with that! DH has now requested #15 to take to work. I told him I'd make it for him, but we definitely could not keep it here with my mother coming to stay for a short while at the end of this month!

    Hello Girls,

Got another enforced holiday (Monday is the enforced one, but I was off yesterday (personal reasons) and thought it would be daft to go back for one day), so I have time off, so time to dawdle about the internet and maybe even some stitching.Thought I share my latest update in the twisted band sampler -

    Part Two

Feeling really low - yesterday I was off but went to a lunch with my department as someone was leaving. First comment my boss says "your not meant to be here" - he had made the joke last week about that - no one told me about the event when I found out and asked I got told "someone needs to be at work" but everyone else was going to the lunch - it has become a tradition at my work that when someone leaves, we all go for a lunch. During the lunch no one talked to me - just felt so sad, lonely and alone - wish I hadn't went - could of saved my money for something nicer.

Oh well, better get on, sorry for my moan.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer ;)

Looking gorgeous already sweetcarer :T Your work is always so neat. Hopefully your horrid colleagues will get there comeuppance one day with any luck. Stay strong girl x

b_e_g - sorry to hear you are not sleeping well. I was having the same problem until I downloaded a sleep analysing app to my phone and I use it all the time now 1)beaause the alarm starts much gentler than my old alarm clock and 2) because you can set it to play a relaxing sound of your choice (mine is a babbling brook) for 15 mins when you settle down to sleep. I really do think the sound relaxes me and I'm now getting ti the point where my brain is conditioned to switch off and sleep when it hears that sound (Let's just hope Radio never play a babbling brook sound as I'm driving home from work lol!!). The app is Sleep Time by Azumio, it may be the paid version that has the relaxing sounds but I think it only cost me a pound or two. Could be worth a try.

WooHoo got off to sleep really quickly last night. Only one visit to the loo, back off to sleep and there till after 6 :j. For me that's good going. Will have a look at this sound/sleep stuff - sounds interesting.

Taken pics of the framed Ewes and the pic I'm doing now so will pop off and sort them to post.

    Back soon.

Here we go. I think DH has made a good job of the sheep pic. This is one of the Ikea Frames - not bad value at all - I think it was £1.95 and the mounts were two sheets of card (15p each) so all in all it was quite a :money: project ;)

and this is the kit I got from China - I just call it the Red Tree as I cannot read Chinese :rotfl:

It did come with 11ct aida but I thought with so much of the fabric showing I would swap it for evenweave. Only seven colours in it and some of them look that similar they could be the same. :D

    Have a good weekend everyone.
