  • sweetcarer the start of twisted band looks wonderful I am so tempted to start mine.......

jcs kitties are very cute and I'm sorry you lost one. Your stitching is making great progress - well past the Rolf Harris stage (can you see what it is yet? = my DH's favourite joke about my WiPs - he expects me to laugh every time)

Annie Looks good - know what you mean about all those greys

bigbird Irises are looking stunning Wouldn't it be great to be able to stitch in good daylight all the time? I've started a wedding sampler on navy evenweave and am finding it tricky in artificial light.

  • tricksie I love CS and can spend hours mooching around I try to discipline myself and only go when I have something to take in

ayeshalush Your wedding anniversary sampler is stunning. Your framer did a really good job and I predict tears when you present it in November (how organised to have it finished and framed by April)

I took my heart wedding sampler to be framed at the weekend and collected Noah's Needle which is a band sampler by Just Nan which was a UFO I finished in 2012. I had intended to make it into a bell pull but never got around to it so decided to have it framed. Unfortunately I forgot to ask for non reflective glass so it has been really difficult to take a photo which doesn't show more of me/the room than the stitched piece

I love stitching Just Nan samplers and she has just released a new design which is very tempting. It may have to be my birthday present later in the year

Hope the forecast of sunny weather for the weekend is right

    It looks great :T

jcs - Lovely kittens, the black and white ones remind me of one of my cats when she was a kitten. I'm sorry you lost one :(

bigbird - The irises are looking great.

Have finished work early as feeling a bit under the weather so am now in bed with my stitching! Have about an hour before I need to do anything :)

Hope the stitching helps to make you feel better and that is nothing serious

I'm about to do an order for 10 packs of plastic thread bobbins and 3 large storage boxes from sew and so. If anyone in/around the Norwich area would like anything from them, please let me know! I'd love to split an order with someone! I'll be ordering tonight around 11pm, possibly a few minutes later.

Just wanted to check before I ordered. :)

Also, do they have any other discounts there? I have applied the 15% off, which makes them cheaper than the same products on Amazon, even with p&p.

fos, lovely framed sampler and if I stitch, good bargain on the frame. I don't envy you with the navy aida, Czar drove me mad on black aida.

BigBird, iris's are looking great not much to do now :)

Annie, nice update on the skyline, my BD has lots of greys but I love the way the colour builds up.

JCS1, cute kittens, that is one animal I don't have :rotfl:

Ayeshalush, the wedding sampler is perfect, your parents will love it.

Sweetcarer, good start on the sampler, I love the colours.

Phew, I think I caught up sorry if I missed anyone. Thanks for the comments re the ginger !!!!! cat ;) I have done a bit more but not much. I've still got the rash, typical we have lovely sunny weather and I can't go out in it. I think its an allergic reaction to the antibiotics, its still very hot to touch like sunburn, I have a burning sensation on my lips and I'm aching all over. I'm so fed up of it now :(

    Morning all

Not been on for a wee while and so much to catch up on so I won't do everyone individually.

Loving all the makes and the WIPs. Everytime I am on the forum I am amazed by the diversity of things we all stitch and there are so many inspirational ideas. If I had millions I reckon I could spend a huge chunk of it on cross stitch, may even get some of it finished too if I didn't work and had someone to do all my housework:rotfl:

JCS sorry to hear about your kitten, heartbreaking to lose one and I hope your older cat gets used to the three kitties being indoors. Poor thing must be wondering what has happened with all those young whippersnappers around suddenly lol.

Not managed to get any stitching done for the past couple of weeks as back to work after my Easter holidays and already into a very hectic last term - 8.5 weeks to the summer holidays in Scotland- yeh.

Long weekend this weekend as inservice day on Friday, teachers are out on training, no phones will be ringing and no visitors so hopefully I will get lots done. Then bank holiday on Monday. Should get some stitching done at some stage - she said optimistically.

    Hi all,

Some lovely makes and WIPs since I last posted. You are a busy lot!

I particularly like the Golden Wedding Sampler Ayeshalush - it looks so lovely framed up. The little bear that Mrs_T_M did is also lovely.

JCS1 - sorry about your little cat xx

I finally ordered the 32 count linen from sewandso along with some storage boxes and bobbins (great minds Mrs_T_M). Have made a start and will post a pic in the next post.

Have had a few 'down' days and the stitching has definitely helped take my mind off of things. I am out gardening today (2 clients) and luckily the weather is beautiful here in Kent.

Sorry to not comment individually, just seem to have so much going on right now x

    Have a great day all

Big Bird - your lilies are lovely, you stitched them really quickly.

    Emily926 - hope you're feeling a bit better today

Fos - that navy evenweave would be difficult to stitch! But I'm sure it'll be worth the effort in the end as it's lovely. Your Just Nan sampler is gorgeous, will need to check out Just Nan designs as I think samplers may be 'my thing'. The new design is beautiful.

Nmm - poor you, that sounds very uncomfortable. Hope it starts to improve soon.

MaisieM - how lovely would that be - no work, a housekeeper and all day to stitch/craft?! Heaven! Hope you manage to get some stitch time this weekend.

Coxy11 - sorry to gear that you're not feeling so good. Hope you feel better soon. Your stitching us lovely. The colours of the thread go lovely with the linen.
