Lovely updates Sweetcarer and Emily and welcome to the caf! mothernerd
Here is my floral cat update after a week of stitching only an hour a day really so about 7 hours. All the cat is done just the flowers to go and the dreaded BABSNote to self: do not stitch whilst drowsy from meds, had to unpick a couple of times :rotfl:
This !!!!! (Guess what the word was!) cat is adorable already, can't wait to see it finished. I would have loved a ginger cat but they are so hard to find so settled for a tabby and a silver/grey instead.0 -
It's lovely to see everyone's updates, I still haven't done any stitching but have made a couple of mors type bags out of some old shirts my Dad gave me and they look fab!
Why is that I only have about 3/4 of page 9 to finish on my wolves cross stitch but I CBA to carry on, it's really infuriating!
So looking forward to my long weekend with DH, he isn't my girls biological Dad but has been with them longer than their Dad was but due to ex being a PITA he never had them so we never (and I mean never) get any time on our own. Last time was in 2010 when we managed 7 days for our Honeymoon :rotfl: Must find a cross stitch that I can do over the weekend, preferably one that will be easy enough to do in a few hours.0 -
Hi All
On for a wee quick one to share this - band one done in the twisted band sampler
So tempted to do more but going to do it in a rotation - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday do learning sampler. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday do twisted band.
Kind wishes to all and thank you for your kind comments
sweetcarer:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Evening,
Sorry not been around much, lots of trauma with cats........ one of the wild ones now safely neutered but bigger op than usual so had to keep her in a dog crate for a few days - she wasn't happy . Then one of the younger kittens got hit by a car and didn't survive. Now got 3 x 6 month old kittens in the house and my old cat isn't amused
Update on latest project below, still doesn't look like much yet.
Take care all x0 -
Nmm- hope the rash is improving
Pm2326 - Elvis is looking good
Mrs T-M - your bear is so cute.... And so is the Mario mushroom!
Sweetcarer - learning sampler is looking fab, and the twisted band sampler is already looking good. Looking forward to more progress pics.
emily926 - the recipients are going to love your wedding sampler. I love the colours.
Ailsb - thank you for taking time out of your hol to post the Henry chart to me. My threads can't come quick enough! Looks like you got loads of stitching done while away. Looking forward to seeing your pics.
tricksie - well done on your chart purchase, please post progress pics once you get started.
Shelly - looking forward to seeing this finished. Lovely design.
Fos - if I stitch fast looks great framed. You did a great job of both stitching and framing it.
Mix - hope you both have a lovely weekend
JCS1 - sorry to hear you've been having probs with the cats and really sorry to hear that you lost one of the kittens. The new kittens will be keeping you busy. Any photos? Your stitching is coming on well.
I'm in the process of making up my needle case now, which us a little fiddly but I'm hoping to be finished tomorrow. Will post pic once it is. In meantime here is my Golden Wedding sampler all framed. Just have to hope my mum and dad like it now. It still has cellophane on in pic below but don't want to take it off just now as it's not needed until Nov.
