The poppies are beautiful nmm. And as for Dreams of Atlantis - Wow! It does look like it'll be a lot of work, but worth it as the end result will be amazing.

Just realised its ben almost a week since I last posted, time goes so fast. I keep telling myself not to read and run but here we are again.

*BigBird* - I don't think I've said welcome to younyet, so hello. If you stay around us long your stash will soon grow. Im afraid we are a bad influence on each other :)

Ayeshalush - love the golden wedding sampler well done on the beading. I'm sure it will be well received.

Coxy - your stockings look great, you must be nearly finished.

Louise - sorry to hear you've lost the stitchy bug, hopefully it will return soon.

BEG - Ewe are my sunshine is really nice is lovely and bright. Im sure an Ikea frame will set it off a treat. You seem to have stitched it really fast.

JCS - the sewing box is looking great, I love the way the cat is coming out of it.

Masie - your cards are really good and the terracotta pots really make them

nmm - the poppy design is lovely and my favorite out of the two. Having said that I do like the other design and look forward to updates.

Bigbird - sorry for the late response but I'd take the tread across the back of the fabric as well.

I picked up my needle again on Saturday and started the Spool Christmas Tree design. Have stitched 9 out of the 1 spoils. Will try to upliad a photo tomorrow.

I have managed some stitching since I posted a few days ago, I have felt more relaxed since the Easter hols started and my first essay for my course is all typed up and ready to be submitted tomorrow (2 weeks early)
Have been stitching Lizzie*Kates 'let them be small which is a nice simple design to follow and is nearing completion. Will be good to add something else to my 2014 finishes in my signature! :)

Maisie M- those terracotta pot cards are lovely, can't beat a bit of 3D embellishment :)

B_e_g- love your highland design, very cute. I have used stamped aida exactly once- never did finish it. I wasn't' experienced enough to fix the areas where the stamp didn't quite line up with the fabric holes.

JCS1- love that kitty in the sewing box! The colours blend really beautifully

Bigbird- hello and welcome to the cafe. Those irises look really pretty and I see you are a fan of the r&r frame- good choice :D . I'm lazy and would carry the thread across. My personal rule is up to 2 squares is fine as long as it's not a really dark colour.

Nmm- the poppy fields look lovely, I remember you talking about dreams of Atlantis ages ago, I will look forward to following your progress on that!

Ailsb- never a truer word written about stash! :rotfl: this forum has been a terrible influence on me....but a wonderful one when it comes to being creatively inspired :)

Hi everyone, up early as I can't sleep. Starting to look forward to getting this baby out now! Still have a few weeks at work yet though :/

JCS - I'm loving the sewing box, it's so cute.

Maisie - Those cards are really great, I think I will do a few cards for my stash after my wedding sampler. It's also my Nan's 90th this year so will do one for her.

Nmm - the poppies are amazing, I would like to do smoking like that in time in memory of my grandad. Atlantis scares me :rotfl:

Bigbird - irises are coming along nicely.

Not much stitching for me this week although will do some now before the house wakes up!

Louise - glad to hear you've managed some stitching, I think its hard sometimes to re motivate yourself when you've either completed a largd project or done so many similsr pieces jn a short time. As for adding to youf signature of finidhes fof 2014 - well what can I say? You should be ashamed of yourself only completing 2 things, it is April you know :D

Emily - how much longer do yoj have at work?

I'm at work all day today and tomorrow and my son is off to Paris at 6am Friday with the schoo so I doubt I'll get any stitching done now until Friday.

Tried to add this link yesterday. Thought I'd share this with you all. I'm going to sign up for this SAL. Thought others might be interested in signing up as well. There's more information over at the yahoo group page.

Just to be clear I am not involved with the running of the group in any way, just thought the subject matter might interest people.

Thanks to those of you who commented on whether I should carry the thread over for my border. I did a bit of it last night with the thread carried over and you can't tell from the front, so that's great.

I see what you mean about being a bad influence on each other with regards to stash. I keep looking up the patterns people mention and they are all so lovely! I love the Lizzie*Kate "let them be small" piece that *Louise* mentioned and will be very surprised if that doesn't find it's way into my stash very soon! Some of the other Lizzie*Kate designs are lovely too. And I'm a Kate and my BFF is a Lizzie so I'm just going to have to make something for her, aren't I? It would be rude not to :D

It's a good job I work from home so I get the post and can hide stuff before DH sees it!

Your post brings back memories for me, Emily My DS2 was born in June last year so about this time last year I was feeling much as you are now. I hope your last few weeks aren't too tough and you get lots of opportunity to put your feet up and stitch.
