Thanks for the WOCS link fos. Looking forward to seeing the wedding stitch. Love your new stitch - If I Stitch Fast :rotfl:

Your sewing box JCS1 is coming along really well. The colours are gorgeous.

I love the cards Maisie M with the terracotta pots on them. They are really unusual. I am going to do a few cards next just so that I have a few handy in my stash should they be needed. Well done for sticking with the grapes - IT WILL BE WORTH IT ;).

Thanks for the comments on the stamped aida ladies. You have given me food for thought. Will keeping on pondering for the time being I think and will work through a bit more of my stash before any more major purchases - but it is good to be prepared :D

Checked on Ikea site and they have the great coloured frames which I might be able to use for Ewe Are My Sunshine - will have to check the sizes and then wait until there are other things we need as its a 50 mile round trip.

    Take care everyone

Some beautiful stitching going on :)

Ewe are my sunshine looks wonderful b_e_g What colour frame do you think you'll go for?

BD is really coming along nmm How big will it be when finished? What size snap frame are you using? (Sorry for the interrogation, I'm trying to work out what kit I'll need when I start on Kissing the Face of God!)

I love the sewing box JCS1, it looks like such a fun design.

Your cards look brilliant with the little pots on Maisie, they really set off your stitching.

Here is a little update on my Feng Shui irises, they are coming along nicely.

I have a little question for you more experienced stitchers. This is the border design: [IMG][/img]13712057855_6c7774a4e1.jpg

Would you stitch each square of 4 (The O symbols), fasten off and then start again on the next 4? Or carry the thread over on the back? If I go from corner to corner it wouldn't be carried very far, but I'm not sure if it would show through as the blanks obviously don't have stitching in them? The squares are stitched in a "moss green" colour, so not a particularly dark shade, but not very light either. Unfortunately the backstitching is in a different colour so I can't incorporate that to move around.

Hi bigbird, your update is lovely, for your border query I would probably carry the thread across but that's my laziness more than anything :rotfl: BD is on 16 count, the finished size is approx. 17" x 12" and i'm using an 11" snap frame.

Maisie, wonderful cards, very unique :T

BigBird- love your iris update. I'm for carrying the thread over too. Try a little bit and check to see if you notice anything shining through.

ayeshalush, your anniversary sampler is great. I really love the use of the beads and embellishments. So pretty and a terrific present.

    Coxy
stockings are coming along grand. They ares so colourful. Are you going to frame it or make it into a cushion.

Nmm -wow you are going really quickly with BD now. I will miss him when he is finished. Have you started to think about what will be next :D

JCS sewing box is really taking shape. Looks lovely.

fos - I love the new project you have picked out. Great to be doing something from your stash too.

Bigbird The irises are gorgeous, a beautiful blue. Like the others I would probably try and get away with carrying over.

beg Ewe are my sunshine looks great and can't wait to see which frame you pick. I love the ikea frames and have a few kicking around for some projects I am planning to finish off this year - who knows they may get used then before 2020 lol.

Well tried to take DS2 to see the lego movie today but we just got our bums on the seats when we got a call from nursery as DS2 was inconsolable. He has a cold but was fine when I left him and he is happy as larry now. Never mind we shall try again next week (as DS1 is off down to his dad's for a week tomorrow). If we don't get then we will go on the saturday when DH is at home to mind DS2 if he is still a bit ropey.

Up side is I have just done a huge pile of ironing and will get now get DS1's stuff packed for going so I should get some stitchy time this evening.

Thanks maisie, I think I will do Remembrance Fields by Maria Diaz (csc issue 163) in memory of my granda, before tackling my lifetime cross stitch Dreams of Atlantis, I fear it may take 10 years to complete

I was hoping to use something like these (brighter blue one) - the price is right but I will have to check out the sizes.

Hope your little one is feeling better now.
