    sorry it amused me

It made me laugh, in fact I've just to read it out to my Dad with an explanation as to what you are stitching.

    Evening all,

Birth sampler now complete with name/date/weight - just going to take a picture and email to my friend to check before I wash/iron/take for framing.

Took 5 months, just got to decide what to sew next, tempted by the half naked man, but the chart and key is in Russian  and the threads a bundle of browns and creams in a tangle

A quick question for those of you who stitch cards...I want to do some this year but unsure where to start. Is the cross stitch card mag worth buying? Also where do you buy your card blanks etc?

I have my scan today so quite excited to see bubba :D

Hope everyone has a good day

    Hi all,

I've been reading along but haven't posted in a while :o

Louise - the DMC colour chart is great, knowing you, it will be finished in no time ;)

    nmm - BD looking fab.

Emily926 - the dolly mamma design is fantastic, such vibrant colours.

fos - the stitching row design is great. I took a look at the website - bad idea - I wanted so many things, must exercise some restraint. The A-Z of stitching design is amazing, so much work, well done on all that back stitch.

Mrs Ceejay - the dinosaurs are so cute! I agree that all those greys in the elephant design would send me batty - well done for sticking with it!

kezbabybabe - the dictionary of tea is look fab. Must be nearly done now?

JCS1 - the recipients of the birth sampler are going to be so pleased. Looks wonderful.

mos - happy nappers - great design - looking good.

Ailsb - Henry looks great - looking forward to the updates when you start the many wives ;)

As for me - I've finished the V&A Ilkley design. Bit of a delay as the kit didn't contain a beading needle (two needles, neither of which were thin enough to bead with). I've spotted a square frame in a CS in town, which I'll pop and get tomorrow. Will attach the photo in a separate post as PC playing up.

    Have a good day all

It looks great, the beads make the difference, not tried beads, is it difficult to get them in the right places?
  • mrsmp you made me laugh with your Titanic comment

jcs not sure that the temptation of the finished article outweighs the idea of Russian instructions and tangled threads ....
What do you think of this?

emily all of the XS mags have designs suitable for cards and there are nearly always good trial subscription offers which mean you can try out various magazines for low cost while you decide which has the most designs you like :money:
Here is the link for 5 issues of World of Cross Stitching for £5 ( you can cancel the DD before your trial sub expires and pay no more if you don't want to)

coxy How annoying that a kit with beads didn't include a beading needle... But it does look lovely now you have finished it.

Stitching Row is now complete (needs to ironed but I won't do that until I'm ready to take it to the framers.

    Hello girls

Only one quick - dinner is nearly ready - but hopefully back later - but I have an update - finished my journal cover - my new years resolution to keep one this year, hopefully it will help my downs, but I had a bad setback today but I have wrote about it and hubby should be in soon for a hug and reassurance.

    Anyway, heres my update,
