Have a busy morning. School run, then back home. Started to clear my craft room (spare bedroom) yesterday. Did a tip run yesterday and have a few bags for the charity shop this morning. Want to do a bit more tidying then need to get another large collapsible box to keep wool in and another couple of vacuum storage bags for the spare bedding. Have some trousers that need changing at GoOutdoors. Need to buy a few groceries. All before 11am when I am going to a funeral.

So if I am going to manage the above I'd bettef get myself out of bed and moving. Will be back later for a proper catch up.

I'm tired just thinking about your morning!

No work for me this week so I'm still in my pj' s. Have written a list of chores that I must do this week but will still have plenty of stitching time. I'm going shopping with DH this afternoon to hopefully get a dress for DS wedding in May.

I am about a third of the way through Overlook cafe so will take a photo later when the sun has broken through the fog.

Beg so sorry to hear your news :(

  • B_E_G, so sorry to hear your news, my thoughts are with you.

I haven't done much cross stitching lately but after another night of not being able to sleep I decided to spend 6 hours () stitching, I managed to achieve quite a bit and Happy Nappers is coming along lovely. I still have about a 100 or so stitches until I finish page 5 but am now over half way through :j

Love looking at all your updates, I want to start my dictionary of love but have 2 wip's on the go at the moment and both are very large so will hold off on that one at the moment.

Hope you all have a good day.

The latest picture of the dinosaurs,it's a fun project but after this I think I am dinosaur end out, mind you the youngest GS is looking at and wants to know who it's for!!

Aww this is cute. That's the problem I have - sets of grandchildren who expect to be treated equally which means I can't just make for one..... Still it's a nice problem to have
  • Well girls got the news we were dreading on Thursday evening to say that our neice had passed away. So haven't really felt like posting but just thought I would take time to catch up with you all.

tricksie - love your word 'bobbinating'. Think we will have to add that one to our own special vocabulary. Got tons of bobbinating to be done during 2014 :D

nmm - love latest BD update. Good luck with your new group. Pity we all live so far away as I'm sure you would have a load of new members.

Coxy - just noticed you are reading Philomena. I've read it and would be interested to know what you think about it. Looking forward to dvd coming out in mid March I think.

fos - just spotted your Stitching Row. Looking foward to seeing your updates.

Emily - welcome back. Love Dolly Mamas pics - always bring a smile.

Louise - love your DMC colour chart. Will make a brilliant cushion. Had to smile (sorry) when I saw your flowery gifts - was it a bit like a booby prize for you? Think I have done the Edwardian Lady ones in the past.

Mrs Ceejay - great progress on the dinos. When were they needed for?

Well my Family Tree Stitch looks exactly the same as it did when I posted a pic last week. Have tried to get it out a few times during the week but it just hasn't happened :(.

    Take care everyone

    b_e_g

so sorry to hear your news.

Not surprised you can't stitch on Family Tree
  • Maisie M Nice problem to have I think - unless the crate if full of stuff you no longer like and want to stitch

mrsceejay lvoe the elephants but I see what you mean about all those greys - worth it though

kezbaby you are making good progress with Tea. I like projects that are broken up into sections as I get a sense of satisfaction each time I complete a piece

emily great work on dolly mama - you'll have her finished in no time

jcs birth sampler is fabulous and didn't seem to take you long to finish. What's next?

mos another wolf fan - it's looking really good
  • I checked and this was our first weekend since October without either visitors or lengthy extra jobs (e.g. putting up / taking down Christmas decorations). And the next one isn't for a while so I took full advantage and put in some serious hours of stitching.

As a result I have finished one of my long standing UFOs which needed lots of back stitch to complete (not my favourite part)

Apologies for the photo which shows all the creases but I intend to wash and press it together with Stitching Row which is almost finished as well. :j

It's a simple design with no backstitch :D so quick to do. I'm also pleased that I used fabric, threads and buttons from my stash to do it (and I'd had the chart for ages)

Apologies for the long post to come but need to catch up.

Louise - your dmc chart is looking good and what a good idea to make it into a cushion. Glad your prize came from the magazine what a shame they are mainly flowers, maybe you could sell them and buy yourself something you'd like to stitch.

MOS - Happy nappers is lovely, I don't remember seeing it before have you been hiding it?

Maisie - have you sorted whats in your crate yet? Anything exciting?

FOS - Needlework ABC looks lovely.

Emily - I've not seen Dolly Mamas before, looking forward to seeing your updates.

MrsCeejay - dinosaurs are coming alkng great and your Elephants are lovely.

Kezbabybabe - fruit-tea is lovely but my favourite is still oddit-tea. How many have you left to stitch?

JCS1 and nmm - both your makes are lovely, well done.

I've finished Henry, only his 6 wives left to do :) Going to do something else in between the characters.
