Finally a picture update for you. I really need to get this square done so that I can start my pressie for my friend:

I'm fortunate that my church has a craft morning once a month, so that gives me at least 3 hours of uninterrupted sewing. Good to see my progress after that. :)

Kez - your rose is coming along nicely. How many more squares do you need to do?

Coxy - I love that tree, was the pattern from a magazine? I wouldn't mind adding it to my list of "to do's"if it's from a magazine I can get hold of (or may already have).

FOS - I failed at the 10.11.12 to 11.12.13 piece as well but gave up a few weeks ago when I knew I wasn't going to make it and was feeling really stressed. Realised the date yesterday and started the lovely little snowman that I have linked to on Pinterest. It's one someone else on the forum has stiched as well. I have a bit of white left to do and the backstitching so I'll definately manage to finish and date it tomorrow. Off to finish the white now.

Hope your exchange card arrives today - it should as it was mailed on Saturday. You're the last one to be crossed off my list - after which I can breathe a sigh of relief

    No, nothing received yet :(

Dad is out of hospital now so thats one less stress but still feel I need a good rest. Have almost lost my voice and know I have the start of a chest infection so things will get worse before they get better.

So pleased to hear that Dad is out of hospital. Look after yourself. Hope it doesn't develop into a chest infection.

How about something for the tree? There are a number of kits on Sew and So that are good for the tree and probably not too expensive. I've had my eye on these for a while:
    http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Christmas-Cats-Tree-Decorations-(Set-of-4)__ORC-7627.aspx

They of course do different designs. :)

I have given ds a little list of kits I like so I daren't add any more to it but I do like these (xmas 2014 maybe ;) )

It was a kit from ebay, it was stitched several years ago and only just been framed........

Searching for red rose cross stitch gives quite a few results  but this one (but think I might have got it for cheaper than that)

I think it may very well get added to my list. :D

Oh Coxy I love that. Frame, mount and colours all look perfect. :T
I have failed miserably on my task of finishing Stitchers' 12 Days of Christmas on 11 12 13 (I started it on 10 11 12 so wanted the neatness of the completion date :D) I realised at the weekend that it was impossible to finish it by tomorrow but I have been working on a small Christmas picture and stopped when there is only 1 row to complete. So that will be my 11 12 13 finish instead. I don't know why I am surprised - I always find November and December are months with little time for stitching due to other priorities.

 You've just reminded me of the date - I know I mentioned it recently but it completely slipped my mind. Haven't been getting to bed too early lately, so if I am up past midnight ............ ;). I've only left a tiny little bit to finish. :D

Sorry to hear that you haven't received your card yet. :( My aunt posted cards to us on Friday from Northern Ireland and we haven't received them yet. I am also waiting for some parcels to arrive and it looks as though they are taking a lot longer than expected. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of Royal Mail. Hope it arrives tomorrow.
