I daren't go too mad as he hasn't got a great deal of spare cash but I just cannot think at the moment. I didn't think it would be such a hard task. :rotfl::rotfl:

Ha ha we always assume our hobby is so varied that we'd never be stuck for what to get, but I think maybe we have too much choice sometimes :rotfl:

I ended up asking for a part for my frame so I can increase the size of my projects (has nothing to do with the HAED I have planned for next year ;))

How about asking for gift vouchers? I know sew & so offer them, maybe some of the other sites do them too, you could use them in the sales and get more for your money

Have you a finished piece that needs framing? Could he contribute to that?

I thought about a donation towards a kit when I find one but I think he wanted to get something to wrap up. :) I don't think he realised how expensive cross stitching can be. Even if money was no object, in all honesty I don't know what I would choose atm.

Everything's framed atm as I usually have DH booked in for that and we tend to do the framing as soon as the pics are done. Would be a different matter mind you if I had to save up and take them to the framers. :D

I was having a look through eB@y last night and I came across a couple of kits that would look nice in the kitchen - not too big as we don't have much spare wall space and then he can choose one if he likes and get it for me. So if I don't know which one he orders then it will be a surprise at xmas. Happiness all round. :rotfl:

Have a good day everyone. Hope you are all managing your xmas stitching.

  • The panda is gorgeous and it seems not to have taken long,I just love it,
I have quite a few Chinese ladies in kimonos and I think a little panda would look good with them.
I have done a round plate that has humming birds and flowers going round it which I love, the colours are so vibrant.
Have to get started on the dinosaurs alphabet which has to be done for two boys in Aussie by June at the latest so wish me luck.
