Maria - your piece for your friends wedding is lovely. I've looked at this design before and really like it. It reminds me of the white ornaments, know know the name of them, possibly circle of love.

Tricksie, i'm so pleased you like it, my first project with the full set of DMC :D

I adore it and the verse inside. Isn't it wonderful having all the threads to hand.

I bought a vintage cabinet off ebay yesterday to store my stash in. Collected it last night and love it, very quirky. I will take a photo tomorrow when I've cleaned it up.

Oooh, can't wait to see the vintage cabinet, I wanted something wooden to store it all in but went for the plastic boxes. I ordered them from sew&so and they seem to have gone missing in the post :( I hope they turn up shortly as they are out of stock now, it's only been a week but i'm impatient :rotfl:

  • maria - love the wedding picture.

Coxy - made a good start with sampler. The colours are lovely.

Ailsb/Coxy - the reindeer is so cute. I loved him the first time I saw him. ;):D

tricksie - looking forward to seeing your cabinet.

nmm - I really need to get some plastic boxes ordered. I am going to be on a mission during 2014 to sort all my threads.

Just listening to the weather update for tonight looks as though we are going to have quite a stormy night.

    Stay warm and safe everyone

sweetcarer - congratulations on your win, I love both the samplers, did you choose a 3rd design yet? The Summer sampler is really lovely, such gorgeous colours. The diamond eyelet on the learning sampler is so pretty.

No I haven't choosen it yet - have been in touch with the designer (lovely lady) and she says I can choose later as she is hoping to bring out 30 new designs next year.

  • Mrs Ceejay - we have had an overturned wheelie bin and recycling stuff strewn around back garden this morning. There are other properties around us that haven't been so lucky. Mum's neighbour lost the roof of their porch. I don't think the reports for later are too good. Fingers crossed everyone will be safe with as little damage as can be.

sweetcarer/flat eric - the coaster is really lovely. Yummy - hot chocolate eh? You've just given me an idea. ;)

    Take care everyone
