Beautiful, love tulips and this is something different. :)
I thought about a donation towards a kit when I find one but I think he wanted to get something to wrap up. :) I don't think he realised how expensive cross stitching can be. Even if money was no object, in all honesty I don't know what I would choose atm.

How about something for the tree? There are a number of kits on Sew and So that are good for the tree and probably not too expensive. I've had my eye on these for a while:

They of course do different designs. :)

    Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend?

Our tree and decorations are now up and Santa Clothes is on the wall!! Was meant to go Christmas shopping today but DS2 was violently sick this morning so no school for him. He is feeling better now thank goodness. Managed to get the house tidied and the ironing done tho' so not a wasted day ;)

    Loving all the pics:

pm2326 - the panda looks stunning framed

JCS1 - love your two pieces but the rose is just amazing

nmm - BD coming along nicely

    Tricksie - I have cabinet envy :p

Not much progress on my sampler. Went to DSis on Saturday for nephews birthday, then worked yesterday, out for dinner tonight. Hoping to get some stitchy time tomorrow evening although I now have to sit somewhere else as the tree lights are hogging the socket!

Still no exchange piece received - feeling left out

Jcs1- The rose is beautiful, what thread count did you stitch on?

It's 14 count I think, it was a cheap kit from either China or Hong Kong on ebay a few years ago. I'd not stitched anything for a few years and that got me back into it.

JCS1 - your rose is absolutely gorgeous. What is it called and was it a kit?

nmm - you're definitely on a roll now. Lovely to see his eyes.

It was a kit from ebay, it was stitched several years ago and only just been framed........

Searching for red rose cross stitch gives quite a few results  but this one (but think I might have got it for cheaper than that)

    Hi everyone,

Here's one I made a few years ago. Just got it down from the loft to display :D

  • That ones a perfect crafty tree Coxy!
  • Thanks for reminding Louise - I was hoping to get the Nativity pic done for 11/12/13 and just realised that is Wednesday. Oh well only left a little bit to finish it off so hopefully I'll still be able to manage that. :)

I have failed miserably on my task of finishing Stitchers' 12 Days of Christmas on 11 12 13 (I started it on 10 11 12 so wanted the neatness of the completion date :D) I realised at the weekend that it was impossible to finish it by tomorrow but I have been working on a small Christmas picture and stopped when there is only 1 row to complete. So that will be my 11 12 13 finish instead. I don't know why I am surprised - I always find November and December are months with little time for stitching due to other priorities.

I've got a couple of days off during the Christmas period (on top of the Bank Holidays though they are "spoken for") so I am hoping to work on framing/finishing some older Christmas projects which should be on display but aren't. I'd like to make at least one and possibly 2 cushions plus a wall hanging and frame at least one other piece. Wish me luck :rotfl: I have 3 pieces at the framers due for collection this weekend so will post photos.

Love this design - I have the pattern in my stash.

Your frame really sets it off

Hope your exchange card arrives today - it should as it was mailed on Saturday. You're the last one to be crossed off my list - after which I can breathe a sigh of relief
