Thanks for the welcome back, much appreciated!

I'm really looking forward to you finishing BD nmm, I have looked at some of these kk charts before, added them to the basket, then took them back out again. I've never been really sure if they would actually look as good stitched up as they do on the website.

Yay thanks for sending the pattern rhaben. Hubby printed it off for me at work so I'm going to start it tomorrow.

Hospital went as well as it could need to go jn for a further test in a few wekks time but consultant was happy with what he saw today. Thanks for everyone's well wishes. Have had the day in bed and just got up to watch The Big Bang Theory with my son.

MrsMP - hope tomorrow goes well for your son and that weather stays fine. Know what you mean about finding out warm clothes, my son is doing his assessed bronze DofE ag the weekend and I've had to do the same.

    Evening everyone,

I've mocked up some small designs for the guides as they meet tomorrow night and I'd like to get an idea what they would like to stitch (37 guides so potentially a lot of sorting). I've done a butterfly, a rainbow striped heart, a snowflake and 3 mini Christmas presents.

Can I ask for those of you that sell cards and bookmarks, what do you charge? Do you think £3 is too much given that the proceeds are going towards a guide trip next year. I'm hoping that the parents will buy their daughters design to give to granny :rotfl:

Louise - where did the minion design come from pretty please? Thought these might appeal to cubs and beavers :D

Totally pooped so off for a nice long soak.

  • Good morning all

Last year we had a Christmas card exchange which went very well. Quite a few of the people who took part aren't active members at the moment including Caroline who organised it but if there is any interest this year I'd be happy to organise this time

We would restrict it to people who are current members

If we allow 2 weeks to register interest then at the end of the month I would send each participant details of who they are stitching a card for

November would be stitching month with cards posted 2nd December

Photos would be posted in the Cafe's group on Flickr where you can see some of last year's. This is the lovely card I received from Mrsmp

See why I want to do it again:D
  • nmm. Lovely update on BD

ailsb. Thanks for the link to Robin's site. I bought from her earlier in the year and have just been tempted again.
Although I love both designs I would have voted for Spock if only because it looks like a quicker stitch at this busy time of year
Hope all I goes well after your op

Louise. You're welcome was the right response. I love looking round new stitchy sites :T

rhaben. Welcome to the Cafe. Love your designs

Shelly. So much for my theory about right/left handed stitchers:D
Can't wait to see your Rose Garden. The one I stitched was pastel not bright shades

mrsmp. Weather is dry but cold at the mo. Hope it is ok for your son

coffee. Welcome back. A page of a HAED is good progress and the shading will show up when you're stitched more. That's what makes them so effective. A photo would be wonderful

Winnie. Good luck at the market

coxy. Enjoy your day off. Have never sold any stitching but I would think people would be prepared to pay £3 when it's for a good cause

Glad your hospital visit went well and your feeling ok. My DD is a huge fan of the Big Bang Theory, she can sit and watch it all day!
