    (Sorry...) :D

It will cost loads on postage from America (mine was from 123stitch). You can have mine when I'm done, I will post it on.

I'm stitching mine on DMC cream stardust aida, it's coming along well. Hoping to have it finished in a couple of weeks :)

It's going to take you that long Louise? :D:rotfl:

Thank you very much for your kind offer.

Oh how I love the internet! I saw activity from here in my Etsy stats and tracked it down to you all.

I'm the designer of the two patterns in question. Both of the patterns have a bit of backstitching. The periodic table has A LOT of backstitching. The Rock, Paper, Scissors one has it in the words. If you are looking for ease and speed, I'd say go with Rock, Paper, Scissors. But periodic is timeless, so....

    Thank you for the welcome!:j

Yes, the stats I get from my Etsy shop show the site they came from. A little detective work on my part led me to y'all! Always fun to find a thread about cross stitch. I'm ALWAYS working on something. Right now it is a couple of 3D Christmas themed pieces.

I second the welcome and didnt know you could find out about links.

Thanks for your comments on your two designs. Think I might start with the rock, scissors etc and when I have more time do the periodic table as well :)

Your 3d Christmas pieces sound intersting.

Off to the hospital now for a minor procedure - feel sick.

welcome to our little cafe, how lovely to have a designer come visit. I've just looked at your links that were posted and they both look brilliant. some lovely other things on there that also distracted me for the housework im supposed to be doing:o
Ailsb, i think because of the back stitch involved i would lean towards the rock paper scissors.
Love the peroidic table as well but its just a lot of work, saying that my DS2 is a science geek so might think about that one in the future if ever i clear wip and stash mountain.
so much to stitch so little time to do it LOL

Ailsb, hope things go well at the hospital, ill be thinking of you

    Hi ladies.

FOS. I stitch the same way as your friend but I'm right handed :D As you say, no right or wrong way, just personal preference. These days when I'm stitching I sometimes do one the wrong way if I get distracted but once I get concentrating again the wrong stitch seems to jump out at me and shout 'I'm wrong, turn me around!' :rotfl:

MOS. Glad your DD is feeling better and I hope you too feel better soon.

Nmm. You are right, though I am one of a few I think to use those pens :) That's not a bad price but I have gone off the highlighters because for me they don't seem to last very long at all, I now much prefer the ballpoint pen type version they do. Thanks for the link anyway, have bookmarked it and will keep an eye on prices.
    Nice BD update too.

BEG. Glad your friend liked her cushion and card though I'm not surprised, they are lovely.

Ailsb. Hope everything went ok today.

    As for me.
Rose Garden is coming along nicely, I'm really enjoying it. Compared to Santa though the stitches seem tiny! I think Santa was on 14ct and this one is 18ct though I like that the smaller stitches cover the fabric better.
I don't know what sort of light they took the finished picture in as the colours (on the pic) are a few shades brighter than what you actually stitch with. When I first started I thought I had sorted them wrong but I can't have because they were pre-sorted. All I did was take them from the card and put them in a bag, cutting off the printed symbol code at the same time and putting it in the bag with the thread.
Must admit though I am quite pleased as the pink in the pic was a little bright :o
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Afternoon all!

I snuck off on my holibobs and came back to a million pages to catch up on! I've had a quick look at the pretty pictures and will catch up properly shortly. Loving all the work. Still looking at it all and saying, 'One day, I'll be able to do that'. And the rock paper scissors spock has been added to my things I'd like to do :)

I had a little stitchy time whilst I was away, but still haven't even managed to finish page one of the HEAD. I'm trying not to let it overwhelm me, just taking it one square at a time. I might finish it by the time I'm 70 at this rate :) I don't think there's much use in me posting a progress picture yet, as it just looks like it's a massive block of black, even though there's actually 8 colours in there!

Anyway, glad to be back. Now to tackle the washing, catch up with work and catch up with the housework, then normal stitching will resume :D

Ailsb, thank you for the order. I sent the pattern this morning (US time) If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm always ready to help. Also I hope everything goes well at the hospital.

mrs-moneypenny, thank you for the welcome. Ailsp went for the Rock, Paper, Scissors pattern. You are so right about all the backstitching in the periodic table. There is a lot of it in that one. I'm glad you like my shop. I'm glad I could take you away from your chores for a bit. I know I'm always happy for any and all distractions from that kind of work :)

its a lovely site, some really unusual designs and well laid out

i've just done my penance of ironing for the week (2 1/2 hours) so i deserve some stitching time tonight.

can i have dry weather vibes for tomorrow please my youngest is walking the 'spine' of the peak district with his school. im sorting warm clothing out as im thinking very cold. he did it last year and got VERY wet, they came back soaked to their underwear and frozen. - Hes the one im toying with the periodic table for when ive cleared my stash slightly

  • Im loving all the updates and Im jealous because I have very little time to stitch. Its market day again tomorrow and its given out dry weather so hopefully we will have a good day,

I also have a new supplier of cross stitch which offers a broad range of dmc and anchor with vervaco cushions which Im excited about and then I have a wholesaler which sales aida and threads so Im happy with both of those.
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!
