Morning :coffee:
fos - dancers look lovely and well worth finishing I'd say
Hippipal - I have the same r&r frame as mrs-moneypenny and its really good
No flower shop stitching last night. I think I mentioned before that I am doing some fundraising for DDs guides, so I went through my charts/books to find some small designs they could perhaps make into cards or bookmarks. I am making some mock ups to take along to show the girls, they will choose a design and I will supply the aida and thread.
Someone mentioned laminating the bookmarks - I was thinking of mounting the aida onto card, then laminating. Do I leave a border around the edge (of clear laminating sheet) or cut along the card edge? Sorry to sound stupid but I've not done it before
Gardening for clients today then a meeting this evening so no stitching until tomorrow -boo!

I think you need to leave a small border of clear laminated plastic. It has to stick to itself to help prevent it from peeling apart.0 -

thats right, i tried some with felt backing and it jsut didnt work it was too thick and looked awful, i did one for my mum and in the end used normal printer paper as backing so it wasnt too thck to laminate, the laminate goes stiff so you get a rigid bookmark. you need to leave at least 1/2 cm border round of clear laminate to weld itself together or it will just fall apart

You're right they aren't in there! I've only just noticed! Bit pointless putting them on the front cover0 -

Definitely leave a small edge to keep them together. Iron on interfacing on the back can hide the stitching without making it too thick to laminate.very quick post to say if you have received WOXS this month,

That's a bit misleading isn't it? Honestly....even though it's twice the work of half stitch, I think you should carry on. I don't think anyone would know any differently when it's finished.
There's not really all that much left to do, so it would be a shame not to finish off that last section.
Thanks for your comments - I did a bit of stitching on it yesterday evening and discovered another challenge - my friend makes her xs the opposite way to me:
i stitch //// and then \\\\. She stitches \\\\ and then //// - don't know if it because she is left handed. I know there isn't a right or wrong way, just that all stitches should be stitched the same way.
Anyway as I am a huge Strictly fan I want to finish it even though it will probably take much longer than I first thought0 -
Your poor DD  Glad she is on the mend though, what a worry
I have found myself with the light on a few times in the past week, but only when it's really dull outside. I'm definitely going to ask Santa for a free standing lamp with chart holder for Christmas....I been good this year
Okay, maybe not that good...I started another new projectI haven't felt in the mood for working on large pieces for months now (plus side is my improved ready made card stash) but I got a chart called A Baby, A Manger which is a vintage style with only two colours so I don't need too much concentration. And it's Christmassy :j
Love your new chart and also the website you linked to - it was new to me and I ended up spending an hour last night looking at various charts and pinning them onto my board on Pinterest. Not what I had planned to do but very enjoyable0
