Thank you for sharing details of the Learning Sampler Sweetcarer. What a very interesting idea. I'm not sure its something I will sign up to at the moment but will bear it in mind. Having cross stitched for many years now, it is always nice to learn/try new things/do something different.
I am having a lazy day today after a late night last night. We popped out for dinner but ended up staying longer than planned as the pub had someone singing so we stayed until that had finished. The bar bill would have bought lots of cross stitch bits:rotfl: but we had a good night and I enjoyed myself. It blew the cobwebs away and also reminded me to drink more diet coke next time instead of beverages of the alcoholic kind !!
Does anyone have the 5th Generation Ipod touch? I keep looking at this but not sure I can bring myself to spend all that money !
Is everyone stitching xmas stuff now or are you stitching something else??0 -
:beer:You shouldn't have to do this with a piece of fabric in a kit - changing the design!
I would complain, I think - and ask for a proper piece of fabric, cut correctly, to the right size. It's what you paid for, after all.
I agree. That's why I asked. If you got less than you paid for you should complain0 -
Is it ok to join in?
I started cross stitching in April after being given a kit for a gift and have become addicted!0 -
Hi,
Thanks girls for your suggestions,i'am going to complain to company, just have to see what result I get,
So annoying as I really want to start it!
Welcome sunshine days,
i'am a relative newcomer and everyone is really friendly, unfortunately once you start crossstitching, it's got you for life.......
I'am still doing it after ****years and still get excited with each new project. X0 -
I'm thinking of treating myself to some new scissors. Does anyone have any recommendations. I need a pair that I can commute with (so a pair that won't scare anyone or get me arrested :rotfl:) and I'd like a pair for my home stitching0

Hi everyone, I'm back from my cruise having done practically no stitching while I was away! But had a brilliant time.
I have some vouchers to use and was thinking of buying a 'grip n stitch' with it. But I am very confused since different places seem to have different sized ones. The hobbycraft website gives me absolutely no idea what size it is. Has anyone used this particular frame? I like the idea that the fabric is held firmly, as I have found before with any frame I have tried the fabric slips and goes loose.0 -
Good shopping day today :j
We have 'The Range' which has just opened near us and as an opening offer it's spend £50, get £10 off....be rude not to
Here's my craft haul - came to just under £40. I was most impressed with the large pearlescent card sheets - £1.25 each :money: The white and blue things are for the wooden advent calendar I'm decorating. The frames will be used for Christmas gift stitching.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Welcome to the cafe. Not the place to come if you want to cure your addiction as we are all addicts here0 -
Evening All (OK, so it's Sunday morning)
As you can tell from the time, I got far too carried away with the peace and quiet once everyone had gone to bed and decided to do some stitching
This is the Christmas stocking I am currently doing for my Dad, it is quite fiddly and lots of colour changes with only one or two squares needing a particular colour but have to say I am really enjoying it. I don't think I will get much stitching done on Sunday as we have been invited out for dinner but hope to get an hour or so done if possible. Am I the only one stitching Christmas bits, please make me feel better and post some Christmas items you are doing
