As I said it is a FB stitch a long. I will post link to page but it is private and you may have to join after you have paid your fee for the design. A new part comes out each month for 18 months. Will post link when I get home as I can't access FB from my work computer.

I know naughty of me quoting my material.

Here is some links, she has blog spot and the FB page

Winnie - So glad you had a good day. Enjoy the well deserved rest.

Mags_cat - OMG! That is going to be a monster. Is it going to be a framed picture when it is finished? It will fill a whole wall.

Shelly - WOW, backstitch makes such a difference. Well worth the effort. Good luck with your next one, it is very pretty.

Sweetcarer - What a great project to be working on. Looking forward to seeing all the results.

Question. How soon after a birth does everyone give birth samplers? My relatives baby has come early, I thought I had another 2 weeks.

Winniepooh, really glad it went well, I must admit I love the rainbow tatty ted birth sampler, just a pity I have no-one to stitch it for :(

Mags_cat,:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: that's all I have to say oh and well done on completing the top row :j :rotfl:

Shelly, I really love the way the backstitch makes a design pop, it looks wonderful and so detailed :T Re BD, there is another page down to go, but its as far as wolfy goes, the lighter bit is the snow he's laid on.

I read on FB from cross stitch heaven that DMC are putting up their prices in January 8% on fabric (magic aida etc) and 5% on floss, I think it said. So anyone wanting to build up on stash do so before then :)

I sent mine about a week after the baby was born, I needed the name, weight etc. If its not finished yet maybe send a stitched card for now and follow with the present later.

  • Here are a couple of pics of the Wine cushion.

I fell in love with these porcelain buttons when we were in Berwick last week. :D

Have bought the birthday card to accompany the cushion - it has a bottle of pinot grigio on it (in keeping with the theme). It does have a blank space on it which I am toying with the idea of a adding a '60' - I have some green irridescent aida which would tone in with some sparkly stones that are already on the card. Will have a little play around with it first and then I might post a pic to see what you think and whether or not it works.

    Take care everyone

This is beautiful. It looked lovely when you had finished stitching it but looks stunning made into a cushion The button and label really set it off

Sweetcarer - thanks for posting the link to the learning sampler. I was tempted for a while but have decided not to commit to another stitch along where I get part way, get stuck and then give up. Not that I'm saying that will happen to you, I'm sure it won't. The one I got stuck on was hardanger and I chickened out of cutting into the fabric.

Coxy - the flower shop looks good, how much more is there left to do?
