  • Morning all.

It’s the first time in a few days I’ve had some “spare” time to check here. LYN, OMG, he is a bundle of sheer loveliness. I never know how you plucked up the strength to hand him back! Your daughter sounds like she’s on cloud 9! Enjoy every second, minute & hour! Love to you all x

    Nutty, How’s your mum?

FPK. A kitty! How lucky are you. Welcome to the mad house. Your Christmas tree will never be safe again x

Hugs to everyone who would like one.

So, We met with the vicar yesterday. We was both a bag of nerves walking into the unknown. Spent over an hour talking about everything. (Seems it was overload on my tiny brain - Because this morning I am constantly asking OH what was said) But, We was asked just one thing.

If we are to marry at our local church (Less than 5 minutes walk away from our front door) Would we attend church life, And a prep to marry course?

Then he dropped a bomb shell…..Because, If you show us commitment, We will show you it, And marry you for free!

Before we left, We did explain to the vicar, That although it’s a bonus that the ceremony would be free, We also want to check out our other options.

Then it was off to shopping as a new month started and I had a “cash” budget to start. I had £40 ready for a weeks worth of shopping (And some top up items that would last a month) and it came in at £30! So pleased with that first start. But I am worried that we might end up eating the same thing every week. So a little more educated is needed there.

I think that’s everything from me, Doggers need their walk, speak soon all x
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
  • Morning all, DD2 was much better than I had hoped for yesterday. says that pain killers have moved on lots and as long as you remember to take tham you stay able to move about. She was having difficulties getting up from low seating so we took our old wooden rocking chair down for her as it has a high back and she can tip herself forward in it to stand and it's just what she needed. Our dearest Son in Law was such a lovely revelation, I've never seen such a gentle and loving new dad in all my life, he just kept stroking Ezras little head with such a look of wonderment on his face, it was beautiful. They might have to be re-admitted today as baby has lost just a little more weight than the midwife was happy with, we'll find out after her visit today, DD obviously is hoping that won't be the case but is sensible enough to know if it is the case it will be because it's necessary. I think it's just one of those little early feeding blips that happen and I know they'll be absolutely fine in a few days. Such a magical day yesterday, DD1 was with us too and we took her back home and experienced her snuggly warm new woodburner and had a cuddle with Pushkin cat too, what a transformation to the warmth in the house, it was up to 18 degrees in the lounge within 10 minutes of lighting it up, her life will be so much more comfortable from now on. She's running a D of E walk today so I'm glad it is forecast to be sunny and dry if not warm. She's the most besotted aunt I've ever seen too!!! I think Ezra is in grave danger of being the centre of our universe for the forseeable future, lovely!!! Lyn xxx.
  • I am glad you all had a lovely day yesterday.

Did I not say Lyn the love for your grandchild is overwhelming and all consuming? You could put it into words much better than I, but I love my grandchildren with a passion and would walk through fire for them.

    Enjoy absolutely every moment Lynn.

  • Morning all,

I do hope baby Ezra and DD2 don't have to be readmitted, Mrs LW, but I'm sure they'll settle in no matter what. It sounds like such a lovely time. As an aunty, I can say that aunties do get very besotted:D Poor little guy he runs the risk of being absolutely spoiled.:rotfl:

How very exciting, planning your wedding Princess! Perhaps it is worth going along to the church a few times to see if it is a community you think you would be happy to be a part of? Unless of course you already attend.

SQ love the birthday idea! What clever kids you have!

I am very excited about the kitten. Afraid the eyes and ears on my mouse are a bit close together, so I think i'll just have to make a couple more. We've been brainstorming names.

How are the colds today, Pooky and Cheapskate? OH thinks he has woken up with a touch of something so it will be a spicy udon soup tonight with plenty of garlic, ginger and chillis for us.

Right, it looks like we've got sun here today as well so I'd better get something on the clothesline to make the most of it.

FPK there was a lovely series of books about a cat who lived in a church when I was little and he was Orlando the Marmalade Cat as he was a ginger striped one!!!

Hoorah, DD2 just phoned and Ezra has gained 70g overnight so she doesn't have to be re-admitted to hospital!!! They had a difficult night though and about 2 hours sleep so are having a snacky lunch now and hopefully a nap this afternoon, Lyn xxx.

I was my daughters birth partner as babys dad didn't show his face until baby was 6mths old. I will never forget the moment the midwife came into the room and put a shawl and baby clothes onto the radiator for the little life that was yet to arrive in the world. A wonderful moment. I love all the grandchildren equally but No1 will always be special.

Hi all, have had a lovely couple of days off from work. Yetserday we just chilled, and then in the evening we had a meal with both DD and their respective partners. We all picked meals from the 2 for £10 selection, was nice to spend some time together. Afterwards we had a mooch around asda, got youngest DD some shoes.
Today we have been to mums to move the washing machine as it clanks against the fridge when it spins, and we changed a light bulb too. The rest of the day has been relaxing, very nice!!
Tea is burgers slowly cooked in gravy with roast potatoes, cauli and carrots. I would have bought a joint of meat, but it worked out nearly £6, so raided the freezer.
    take care all x
