Possession ((hugs)) I hope things have been a little easier today, any news on OH job interview?

Nutty ((hugs)) your poor mum and DD are having a tough time

Hester - could you move schools? In our area Midday staff are employed by the council and simply placed in certain schools, if an assistant wishes to change school they can request a move and swap with no difficulties like notice periods etc.

Ginny - glad your OH is feeling better

Pooky - thank you for asking, in a word no the medicines arent working, swelling is still there and its still painful, its looking like I will have to go back for more when these finish :)
  • Hi Kidcat

Possession how did OH's job, interview go?just grit your teeth for now, soon a new position will come up just for you :)

Gailey will come uo but I would speak to surgery shelter and cab and get some advice.

I decided to venture out to see the, sister today, ended up going into town with her and bio mum. Met my lil bro it was good seeing, them all. did lots of window shopping and, when they left to pick my nieces I stayed in town which,is 10 mins away from ds2 school. So hid in the tea house and had a pot of earl wild blue mayflower tea. It was, quite nice :)
I know very naughty but I thought bit stress free relaxation. It was quite busy but still nice to just sit and read on peace. Didn't take the family there as they some abd the benches were not out in the rain. But said I would take them in another time.

Fk how are you feeling today?

His 2nd interview has been postponed Kez, but he has to do a presentation which is really freaking him out. Hopefully he'll get something, there do seem to be jobs about.
  • Morning all,

I popped in to read later yesterday but didn't get a chance to write. Thanks for the hugs Mrs. LW.

I'm feeling ok, side effects seem to be variable which is actually a good sign as it means I'll probably settle down after a time. Just a headache this morning and that is easy to fix.:D

My meeting yesterday went well. I have some changes to make, but nothing major. I feel a bit wobbly as it puts my timing off (and I'm very obsessed by timing) but I'm determined to stick to my schedule one way or another. My supervisors don't seem the least concerned and even seemed to think I could wait to change the first half until I'd done the second but I know I wouldn't relax leaving it like that. They've also made plans to speak to my examiners next month so they must thing everything is good. My OH, who did this a few years ago, assures me that I'm doing very well and am in a very good position and that it is completely normal that I can't seem to recognize that. :rotfl::rotfl:

Still, thank you for being here to listen, and for the hugs Mrs LW, and asking Kez.

Possession, big hugs are the best I can offer. Obviously I don't know the details of the situation, but I do wonder if there is someone you can speak to, perhaps a union rep, or a senior colleague who might be able to offer some suggestions or even calm you down? I know its no good everyone saying it, because it doesn't feel that way but it will work out in time. Try to leave work at work and distract yourself when you aren't there.

Nutty and Ginny, glad to hear your loved ones are more comfortable.

Right, off to work for me. Its leek quiche for tea tonight with a bit of salad. Will look forward to that as its very tasty.

Hugs to any and all who need them.x

    Morning all

I lost yesterday completely, had my hair cut, walked in through the door and had the most severe headache I've ever had which quickly turned into the worst migreane I've ever experienced. Haven't had one for years, spent most of the day dozing which of course meant I was still wide awake at 3.30am. I registered as self employed 2 weeks ago and since then I've had a 2 day sinus headache that left me bedbound, a bout of tendinitis in my elbow which left me unable to do anything work wise and now this migreane......I'm allergic to work it seems.

Luckily there's nothing urgent for today so I can just potter...or pop to the vet and ask them to put me down.

Possession - make sure you keep all emails and a record of any phone calls that are causing the problems and if you can then copy the emails to another account/print them off. When DH was having issues with work it went to a full blown enquiry at director level and it was amazing how many emails HR hadn't been able to find but DH had copies of, funny how they couldn't find the ones where they were in the wrong. It was also great timing on their part that as they realised it was all going to be looked into DHs access to the work server and emails was stopped....luckily he'd got everything me needed before then. Hope it gets sorted soon x

Thanks for all the good wishes. The British part of my company is tiny and there is no unionisation. My only senior colleague is the one causing the problem unfortunately. I've worked there for more than 18 years. :(
  • Morning Toughies He Who Knows had a dentists appointment this morning so I did the early morning walkies with the lurcha and I'm all out of routine with my day!!! Never mind, I've got most things tackled and have just had a go with my new food processor. The old one that I got from a boot fair for £5 a few years ago finally died when we processed the apples last summer and wow, what a difference this one makes! I've just made some falafel burgers as an experiment and it's so fast with the chopping up it took hardly any time at all and the mixture was perfectly ground and very easy to coat with crumbs to bake in the oven. I had been used to the old one plodding along and not doing a very good job with whizzing things up, this new one is magic!!! I think my soups will be a much better texture from now on, the old processor was not quite pureeing things any more. The showers seem to have passed and we have sunshine woohoo!!! Lyn xxx.
