  • Morning all,

Possession, I hope things are better today and that something is worked out! In the meantime, hugs!

Today is a big day, although I'm still feeling relatively sanguine about it. I have a meeting over the first half of my thesis. I also pick up more marking from my students' exams. I've decided to head to the gym first thing this morning, that way I should be nice and calm for my meeting. Nothing like being exhausted to tame the nerves!:rotfl:

I am having some mild side effects on my new medication now, although the worst of it is that I get worked up worrying that this means it will get worse not better. My OH pointed out that part of it is probably that without teaching this month I'm working from home a lot and have a lot of quiet moments to dwell on it. He is right of course.

I wish you all a happy and calm pleasant day, but if it isn't know that you're all in my thoughts.x

Morning all, Possession I hope work is better for you today.

Mum was comfortable last night, she is in a room on her own at the moment so she has total relaxation. I still had to work but today OH and my daughter are visiting her. They will take some clean clothes for her.

    Morning all

Nutty - hope your Mum is out soon and that DD is feeling better too, you're having a right old run of it at the moment aren't you x

Possession - set the giant bunnies on them! Hope the situation improves quickly.

Kidkat - how are you feeling today, anti-B's kicking in yet?

Ginny - how's your DH now, is he feeling any brighter?

Cats are going loopy as its hammering it down with rain and thick fog, not the weather for hunting so I've set up an assault course of tunnels and boxes for them...honestly they're like toddlers and need amusing.

Just all getting worse TBH, but thanks for the hugs.
Nutty, glad your mum is feeling brighter.
  • POSESSION I feel for you, it's a horrible place when you're being picked on by other people, do you have anyone at work in a position of authority that you could talk to? perhaps personnel or maybe a union rep? It's a very wrong thing in this day and age that it's been allowed to happen and you have rights and the right to be treated fairly is one of them! I don't know what field you work in but there are employment laws that have to be adhered to by ALL employers, it's not a choice thing, it's the law. Know that we're thinking of you and sending you support to get you through this disconcerting time and don't let them grind you down girlie, stay strong.

NUTTY glad to hear mum is being looked after properly, much better for her to be in her own space and not on a bustly ward, I hope she makes good progress very quickly and that her problems can be sorted out. Glad the family are rallying round and helping you by visiting her when you're not able to, they're a good bunch aren't they?

FPK Hugs, Hugs and more Hugs!!!! Lyn xxx.

Just taken OH to the dentist now that his abcess has gone. The lovely new dentist took 2 teeth out as they were beyond repair. When he came out he was very wobbly on his pins so had to support him back to the car. He is back in bed now and feeling much happier. So what to do for the rest of the day? I think I may carry on de-cluttering and possibly start a new patchwork. I realise I am totally run down after the flu and bad back so will be taking multi vits and trying to eat regularly.

The market is very near the dentist so while he was in I ran and bought some rather nice pork chops but the rest of the meat has shot up in price so need to find a local supplier who delivers packs. Did get rather a lot of ends of pastrami for £1.50 to go with a salad - 500gms so thats good and am going to use up the packets of dried soup I got 4 for a £1 from Mr A. Also got a box of satsumas for £1.50 so OH will be happy for a week, he eats tons of fruit and very little else now.

Hugs to all in need xxx

My best advise when looking for rentals? Go into the agents, get to know them and strike up a rapport. I can't tell you the story of how We got the southern house because it would go some at to identifying me and where I live. Our agenta took us on with financial baggage and all because we were genuinely nice people who built up a rapport with him and the staff.

Don't look for rentals over the phone. There's a queue of people waiting in my experience - choose a local independent agent who will keep you in mind when something comes up that suits. Housing turnarounds are fast, super fast. We got our place simply by being in the office at the time of one of their clients decided to move up the rental ladder. The house never even got on the rental market. It was ours within a very short space of time.

Good luck gaily. I feel for you as it's a major source of stress and anxiety but things do work out, you just have to go looking for it I think. Hang in there. I hope you're given the same amount of luck as I was.

It is very warm and windy here today. The snow is melting and we can see part of the actual road! The radio is saying that the wind is at over 120km an hour. Christmas trees are blowing down the street like very large tumbleweeds and branches are snapping off everywhere.

Number two son got sent home from work as it is just too windy for his crew to be out. A tractor trailer has been blown onto it's side and is blocking part of the major highway out of town.

Other than the weather, it's good. My bloodwork is normal which is huge relief. For a while I was worried about diabetes. But I am behaving with food and exercise.

Still trying to work out what is for supper tonight. I'm ready to shout let's order in but it won't work because number one son has to be out of the house by 530!
  • Possession, I really feel for you, it's been made very clear to me that I 'Don't fit the Heads image of the school' I had a lousy appraisal, I can't leave, I'm 62 & would struggle to get another job & I have a mortgage to pay. Chin up & I hope it gets better for you.
