Arhhh bless you all for your very kind words to me..........
The care home he should be going in is only 11 miles from home , so im so relieved about that, plus OH use to go there when the Suffolk Carers gave me 2 free weeks respite per year , and I had to choose a care home that wasnt run by suffolk county council, so in other words he had private respite ......
They cared deeply for him because he is easy to get on with and he as a wicked personality ,I think they felt so sorry for him being only 51 at the time......................
I dont feel 100 % safe or other , im scared something may go wrong , but im going to try and keep positive thinking until I hear otherwise............
God dam this wind and rain today , its blowing a gale today and there still dont seem no let up.........Suppose to get colder next week, lovely , I dont like it mild at this time of year .........
Ive got to go to hospital Monday morning be there at 8.40, so that means leaving here at 7.30..........Im going to have face scan because of the sinus problems I have............In the meantime the hospital have put me on a steroid nasal spray .................I hope the people here that are unwell one way or the other will soon feel better , seem too many people with illnesses and other problems.......Im up and down like a yo yo.........Sheila0 -

Don't know whether to say hurray or poor Mar?? I like snow a lot better than rain, just as wet but makes everything look pretty.
We have the kind of weather here now that you see fishermen in on rocking boats in the north sea, during those documentaries.
I ain't going out in it no matter what I hear banging about.0 -
I much prefer snow to rain. We have heavy rain and winds here. It's awful out and cats are begging to outside.0

Pops you have Christmas mail but your inbox is full.

The weather has been vile here too, so much rain! My poor kitchen ceiling is dripping madly.
I've sat with DDs all snuggled on the sofas with my homemade patch work lap quilts, with candles and fairy lights, watching Christmassy films, all afternoon! We've had a lovely time. DD1 then had to go to work, DD2 went back to bed as she's a teenager and needs her sleep but I got DH up and we've had a lovely cheese fondue and a glass of wine.

Hester beat me to it - yes Pops sounds fine, he has even bought a couple of Christmas jumpers ! - very 'on trend' as they say.
Shegar, crossing my fingers that all goes right for you both. Thank goodness there are still some good social workers out there, how they do the job in these trying times is beyond me.
I got an early Christmas gift today, the best one ever - DGs sang me a song :T:T:T for a child that only let himself have a voice this summer at 3 years old he has come on in huge leaps. We have had a lovely afternoon and he went to bed reasonably happy and exhausted. He is learning that Grandy has to have naps and cant take him to the loo (every 5 minutes) but is really good at reading stories.

Oh, Sheila, what good news. I just pray that when you have been relieved of your heavy burden of responsibility and endless work you will have the time to look after yourself. Hopefully, when the stress is lessened other problems in your life will gradually sort themselves out.
Fuddle: I have a friend who was short of shelf space and she had herb and spice jars hanging from the underneath of the shelf. She glued the jar lids to the underside of the shelf and then instead of screwing the tops on to the jars she screwed the jars up on to the lids, if you see what I mean. Took up no room at all.
Well, I made it. The future resident of chez nous was duly impressed by the cleanliness and tidiness and turned out to be absolutely delightful.
We are obviously now going to spend several weeks tracking down the things I have 'tidied' away. The Rev's face when I opened the washing machine and extracted my precious bottle of Baileys was a picture.
Am enjoying a cosy house today with cards stuck up on the walls (and fluttering down like autumn leaves when the low impact masking tape dries out), pot pourri scenting the rooms with mandarin and spice and red candles everywhere.
Lovely. I can almost imagine it's nearly Christmas.
