    Sheila

It is good to hear from you but  that you are still going the rounds to try to get things sorted. Sending positive vibes and lots of Luck for you both.

DH is a bit grumpy this time of year but fingers crossed has got over health problems. He has just had a phone call from a friend and agreed to take in a couple of budgies as a favour. As dds (or some of them) are scared of flying critters of all sorts, that should be fun. DH seems to be building a fenced off and wired plot in the garden and a small cage (either he is thinking of getting chickens or he is losing the plot.);)

DDs keep trying to convince us to get a dog or a cat and I just cannot get through to them that if we "wanted" a pet we would get one. They are all adults now so can make their own decisions when they have their own place. Just hoping no one foists one on us as a nice surprise  With four DDs (and possibly chickens and budgies) there should be plenty to keep us occupied.

    Hugs to all

Just watched this - that's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back

Is it me or are both those methods more complicated than just shoving it in, grabbing the corners and shaking?
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
  • Shegar So glad to hear from you but not glad to hear that you still have problems with SS. Will they wait until you are on the point of dropping before doing something. I as a forum friend would love to come up and kick some butt, anybody else up for a trip to Suffolk SS. Take care my friend and don't let the bu@@ars get you down.

eta sending positive thoughts to shelia, in my experience its the ones who keep shouting get listened to. Not the way it should be in an ideal world but the way it is. Xx

just a quick post in between cooking tea and refereeing sibling arguments to say:

Hello Sheila, thanks for sparing the time to post. I am so sorry you have so much on your plate, you are really not bringing the thread down by offloading occasionally and would rather you did a bit more often. That's our job on here!

Hang in there, things will sort themselves out - crossing everything it's really soon. Hope you get some rest this eve, please look after yourself as best you can in between everything.

Hey Cornish, we have the same technique for covers The kids used to run for cover when I changed the beds so they didnt have to get involved ie. shouted at. :D I have to change Oh's bed many many times a week and its still my least favourite chore...even worse than ironing....

Sheila, sending hugs, not much we can say is there? You come and get it all off your chest whenever you want better than sitting going over it all in your head xxx

Its blowing a hoolie here too, glad Im not going anywhere. Feeling much better after a bowl of soup and lots of liquids, even managed to get a wash load on :j OH fed, watered and medicated so he is back in bed away from my ratty mood because Ive just lost a day and a half.

hugs to all especially Pooky having to endure a wonderful trip to Bruge :D

  • My goodness it's a wild night out there, the wind is howling through the windows like a banshee and crying through the telephopne wires outside too. I hope everyone is battened down and safely inside now and stays warm and safe through the rest of the night, Hope all you poorlies get some sleep and feel better tomorrow, and hope all the livestocks that live with us are snuggled up warm and toasty too, night, Lyn xxx.

It's yukky weather here too, just been out to try and secure the rain cover to the giant rabbit's run. Can't persuade them that the shed would be a better place to sit, silly bunnies, and the only time we tried locking them in the shed they broke part of the cat flap.
Well done to Master SQ and Miss Pooky on their accomplishments.
Sheila I hope you are holding up against all the adversity SS are throwing against you and a place gets sorted for OH soon.
In London for meetings all day today, and my Christmas lunch which I was miffed at having to pay for but happily it only cost £10. Very nice French food too. Lottie (our new rescue dog) cried when I left though, it was rather heartbreaking. : (
Tomorrow is my day off and it's going to be spent repairing whatever damage has been done in the garden, tidying up the chaos that has become downstairs and finishing wrapping the final few bits.
Oh and DH has an interview for a job at a not-for-profit company, which is the area he'd like to get into, in early Jan so that's something to look forward to/get nervous about!
