Good to see you posting Sweet Pea Cottage. :)

Definately can't beat a hand made card in terms of OS, the snag comes when you have to pay modern prices to get it from A to B. Keep posting Sweet Pea Cottage. You'll see we rarely agree but that doesn't matter, it's an education looking at differing perspectives. :)

Morning all, lovely to see a new poster. As mrs lw says we all have different points of view on OS.

Had to take DD to collage this morning as I over slept and she didn't make the bus. Im bad! Cant do this tomorrow as I have to be in for 725am. Eldest DD then met me in town. Popped in to sainsbobs and got some pork pies and a newspaper. I then went to Iceland with DD, got some gravy and frozen parnsips.

I gave DD a handbag to borrow for her Christmas party, it was from a CS and cost £2. Saves her buying one, and its nice that I can help.

Bought the last couple of bits for the the dog sanctuary hamper, I added some toys along with some gravy bones. It is only a little one this year due to lack of spare money - but im sure my few bits will help.

Well housework needs to be done, have a nice day everyone x

And we've just had a flood warning here on the Lancashire coast, with tides only 3' lower than on 5th December (but hopefully without the 60-70mph gusts)

We have some fierce winds in Lincolnshire, next doors fence has already started to come away from the posts. I have just put the heating on low as you can hear the winds around the windows. OH has just called to say we are going to have a pub bar meal for tea as its the last time I am home until sunday night. I had already started to prepare veg for tea, but he can have them tomorrow with DD.

Must start my jobs to do list.......

Well ive been reading some days , but no time to post , still havent really but just had a bath hair wash and lit the fire , so thought id pop in for 10 mins.........

Just read the last few pages and sorry to hear that so many of us have unwell OH s ...........Whats going on with everyone.?.......This is what I hate about this time of year so , so many people get ill.......

Ive been very busy with Social services , council, Drs , hospital appointments , it goes on and on and on....., Got problems espeically with social services , I will see what goes on in next few weeks about it all then I will tell you, , but for now I dont want to bring the thread down with all my problems , because you would never believe half of whats gone on............and going on...

When I hear people who are financially and health wise doing very well and all they do is moan about trivial things , I think to myself good god , if they had quarter of what ive got on my plate theyd never cope............
What I say is "dont judge me until youve lived my life for a month or two"......................................Then they would know what real problems are ...........

But most of us on here at the moment seem to have serious probs..........

Weather has been quite kind to us lately , had some nice dry sunny days , and seem to have rain at the best time , when its dark...:)....

Obviously ive not done any christmas shopping whatsoever , at least christmas wont break me, :), mind you last year I didnt spend much at all, also I havent put tree or decs up.............

Well off to get the food finished off, take care all Sheila.......
  • Good to hear from you shegar. I'm so sorry you have so many problem & difficulties to face. All I can do is send lots of (((hugs))) and hope things improve soon for you.

A belated well done to Miss Pooky and Master SQ.:T Glad to have some very proud parents. And I hope you enjoyed Bruges pooky.

Glitterkitty, did your BF get to talk to GP? Is his back any better now?

Hope everyone with bugs/viruses etc feel better soon. It is a bad time of year with cold and damp.

It is cold and very windy here. The wind is howling though all southeast facing windows and doors :eek:. Not looking forward to trying to sleep in the noise. Hope you all have everything securely tied down or put away.
